Default Diabolo swash developing play

Today I noticed some play in the head of my Diabolo. It's easily 1 to 1.5 degrees at the blades. I tracked it down to play developing between the upper and lower parts of the swash (vertical movement between the halves). Has anyone else had this and how can I fix it? The heli only has 51 flights as of today.

74 views and no one has had this before? Should I mail Gerd about it? I was hoping there was something I could do myself to sort it out.

I have just had my 700th flight in the Diabolo. No play in the swash. There has been no mention of this problem in here so far, as far as I can recall.
I would contact Gerd.

+1 Grant this is not a common thing in 1500 flights mine is slop free, perhaps a bearing is getting loose, I had someone tell me that there Swash bearing got displaced in a crash.

Hey Grant,
I had several hundred flights (including 2 crashes) and there is no slop on my swash.
You are the first we hear about.

I don't remember if there is a way to adjusted, or is it factory pressed.
If is the later, you'll need a replacement.

The bigger question is, what caused it? Did you have a crash or a blade strike on the ground? Out of curiosity, what blades are you currently using?

By the way, I have seen close to 1 to 1.5 degree of play on the blades but all coming from the servo gears, only when they are off, is less than 1/2 degree when the system is powered.

Are you measuring the slop with the servos powered?

I think I'm overstating it.

I checked yesterday with in powered up, this evening powered down. It's more than I was expecting though, but probably acceptable?

The heli hasn't crashed or had a blade strike, blades are Rail 696, servos are Futaba BLS156HV.

Definitely all swash play. I would not fly it like that.

I would bet Gerd will get you fixed somehow.

I'm chatting to Gerd via email - he's being his usual helpful self. I am not experiencing any in-flight issues, I'm just concerned. Maybe it seems worse than it is due to the bit of servo slop mixed in. I'm sending Gerd a few more videos - I'm sure he will advise on whether or not its an issue.

Slop of that magnitude will cause a bit of blade flutter/rumble when the blades are at zero or slowly transitioning from postive to negative.

If you holding steady state positive pitch, negative, or transition throught zero very quickly you will not notice much of a effect because the swash is staying preloaded.

Still, as tight and precise as Diabolo's are, I personally could not stand something with that kind of slop.

There is definitely flutter - my Faifa is dead quiet with the same blades and same flying, while the Diabolo barks and splutters quite a bit. I thought it was the extra 0.5kg of mass and the more aggressive setup in the Diabolo. Anyway, lets see what Gerd says, I obviously want zero slop.

Just tested mine, 128 flights, no visible movement.
I get an audible tick when wiggling a blade, but you can't see anything move, so I would say its slop free, pretty awesome really taking into account servo slop as well.

hi, i got play in the swash before and got it replaced.
It is at the joinning part combining the upper plate and the big bearing.
It's flying nicely now!

Sorry for the long delay in answering. I got another swash to compare and my swash is certainly within spec. Most of the slop seems to be from the way the servos center.
