Default Main bearing blocks

anyone know the correct orientation of the main shaft bearing blocks on the 500 Pro DFC?
I have mine mounted print side up on both upper and lower blocks, but wondered if the bottom might need to be print side down???

For anyone interested I found the correct orientation, along with the help of a good guy named Dave!

The Main shaft bearing blocks go as follows:
Top Block Print faces down...you should not see the "Align" print on the top bearing block!!!
Bottom Block: Print faces up, in other words you should be able to look down from the top and see the Print "Align" on the bottom block....
This is critical!! I know....i had them wrong, and the bearing came out of the top block, and also the one way bearing collar moved out on my main gear....this caused huge pitch problems because the shaft and head were now able to move up and down....I crashed because of this....actually pounded the thing into the ground skids down....was lucky though...broken skids, blades scuffed up was only damage....

Page 7 of the manual shows this. It shows a picture and even says Laser Engraving Face Inside and points to both bearing blocks

I try and learn everything possible about my helis, love putting them together!
This thing flew solid as a rock about 5 times before the bearing backed out....I guess when I flicked on idol1 it put more stress on it, and it slid out....I should have known also because I had a hard time shimming it up right so that the gears aligned....this was my second hint I believe that something was not right! Hehe The third hint being it slamming into the ground was too late I reckon.......;-).........
Oh well I know now....Oh also something strange....I was talking to another guy about this...and he says that every align 500 he has seen has the little tabs on the sides of the bearing blocks in order to install them correctly...also the slots in the frame for the tabs....
Mine has neither, could this be a very early version of the 500 Pro DFC?? Has me wondering if I need bearings or bearing blocks for it that I may have a hard time finding them......

I don't remember there being tabs on my 500s bearing blocks. Maybe he was talking about the boom block?

The stock bearing blocks on my 500 ESP had tabs.

The Pro has never had "tabs" or slots in the frame, it uses the method as noted in the manual. It was the early 500 version that used that idea, I think !

I have now changed over to the KDE bearing blocks as they support the main shaft alot better that the stock items.
