Default MCPX proto with microbeast

Hi I present you my project
A µcp heli based on MCPX, with a homemade carbon-alu frame and a microbeast module.

I use:
- HP08S 16500KV motor with an XP 12A ECS
- HP03T motor with a XP 3A
- 10 theet pinion

Here is the 3d design:

and the proto with the main shaft broken...

The microbeast and the receiver are lighter today.
The heli will be ready to fly before the end of the week.

Only feedback I would give is Sat receiver to cut down on the weight and ability to relocate the a/r bracket to the rear. Looks like a lot of fun

Are you going to use a Trex 450 canopy on it?

Pretty cool though....

I cut evrything down and the result is about 54g nacked.
I will post a picture soon without all this plastics box.
On the picture the heli was about 90g
I will work again on my frame and i hope to achieve 40g with canopy

The balance will be perfect, i just need to but te batterie 2cm foward the main shaft.
The back is heavyer. I was looking forward T-700 canopy in fact.
I can nearly put the mcpx canopy, I will try with a T-100.

Honestly? Ditch that whole thing it looks like trash!
Why would you want a full size receiver and fbl controller?
Big overkill on this one. What your AUW ?
I'm interested in even seeing this attempt to tic toc!
Otherwise GJ on the CF frame.

Way to go, buzz kill. Haven't you ever done anything just for fun? Let the man experiment.

Alright, Suppose I was very mean there. I am sorry in advanced for any negativity you might have gotten out of my post.
I still would like the "why" explained though... Otherwise, i retract the rest of the post and I am Truly Sorry to fury118! Forgive me. I only meant to really say it looks out of place.

Well, lets see what you can do. Show any pics of your 3D design work? Got any machining skills? Something tells me no on both counts...
There are a couple reasons why you might want a more advanced controller, perhaps he sees something you might be able to learn.

No harm done. I'm very curious how this will fly after some more testing and tweaking. If you ever saw a video of one of the 1st helos you would wonder how we even ended up where we are today. It takes imagination, testing and even failure to see success.

I did retract my comments but I won't try and hide from them!
Very impressed on the 3d work i never meant to be judging that or any of his project. I just merely meant to hear on more explanations towards why the Full case for the controller and receiver are being used? I was harsh and I do apologize for it. Just want to see more progression into the micro sizing of this whole idea more so what I wanted to say!
Otherwise as i stated, impressive 3d work/CF frame.

I think i explain myself wrong.

This is a photo of 2 weeks ago, with everything raw on it to program the microbeast.

Now there is NO MORE CASE, even connector pin.
All was pass thrue dremel...

The microbeast is today 3.3g and the receveiver 2.5g
I will send you a picture today

Some will say, the magnet copper wire look hugly.
It thrue and it's also really hard to connect.

I will change it (0.5mm diameter copper) by a 32awg servo wire. It is the same weigth.
I will also order some 36awg silicon wire, it has to be the (i think) same size as the mcpx servo wire.

As you can pheraps see, the frame is not exaclty the same as the 3d model.

In fact i don't have a ecs problem, but an receiver problem.
The receiver cut all the time, pheraps because i put away the condo.

your right bro, this dose not look like something you would walk into your LHS and buy out of a box with a RTF logo on it. Because it isnt. This is someone hobby, or job...or both to build and tinker. This is a great project and whoever built this hog has alot of skills and time vested into their craft.

The 3d work alone was very nice and most likely took a ton of hours of work and to see a flying model or near flying model is even more impressive. I could not fathom having the skills/ or patience to do what this person has already done and if you dont see the hard work and passion put into this persons project, thats fine. For your rediculious comments the owner of this heli should come down to Burger King and tell you how to do you job better.

Amazing work! I did something similar on my 4G6, put a v-bar on it. But then again that was an easy job, no new mechanics or CNC machining or 3D modeling. Any experience on flying it?
