I only have experience with the micro kits and I was pleased with what I got for the money. What size are you looking at?

Same here, but I used one of their big blade kits. They now offer a (limited) choice of led colors you can choose from, too.

Since you're looking at a setup fot the 180, here's a video I shot tonight of the perfectregulators blades and canopt/tail kits on an mcpx-bl. You would use the same micro kit for the 180cfx and this will let you see what you would get. I should have charged the lipos on the blades before the last flight. They were dim but I didn't have any trouble seeing them. Did have some trouble flying though. The first flight took place between sunset and dark, and the second flight was about an hour later. You get about 4 flights per charge on the blades and I had flown 2 flights the previous night.

BL night flights 1-19-15 (4 min 33 sec)

Perfect Regulators mini night blade kits - suck

Short battery life - 10 -12 minutes per charge
lipo batteries that only charge to 3.9 volts
intermittent switches

Worst problem
Phone number listed is invalid
E-mail responses from me have been blocked by their server
Initial response time was good - as soon as I had a problem I was cut off from communicating with them
Use there products at your own peril !!!!!

I just bought a set of the V2 perfect Regulator blade kits and so far they look good. Still have to solder the connections as well as Get a LED strip set for the tail boom and fuselage. Blades are pretty bright with 3 LED's top and bottom. Went with Green top and White bottom LED's. Not sure what flight times will be will need to do some timer testing with them.

I had a similar problem with them. They claim there is a 1 year warranty on their be but good luck if you have a problem.

Those problems are with the micro kits right? I haven't seen any issues with the bigger blade kits. Batteries are 120mah with Jst. Should be easy enough to find something compatible if the battery dies?

I'm wondering if these kits are a better first timer night blade that the $200 offerings with LEDS built in

One of these kits are what I used on some cheap HK 600 blades as my entrance into the night flying world - worked great, and for a little over $100, I had night main blades. IMHO, these kits are a great way to get started in night flying - especially now that you have a (limited) choice of colors with them.

If you already have blades, making your own night blades is by far the cheapest way to go, but also the more research and labor intensive.

I've since converted a Trex 550 to a night bird, and am using off-the-shelf RotorTech night blades, but plan to make my own at some point.

I made my own night blades for the Trex550 I have. I haven't found large heat shrink to hold the lipos down, but other than that they're done. I have about $30 in them so far including the blades.

I used "self fusing silicone tape" on my lipos for the 550 works great.

Amain has it too, but I'd have to verify the size with my extra pieces: http://www.amainhobbies.com/rc-cars-...-rce2322/p5546

I figured I would give perfect regulators night kits for 250 - 360 blade sizes a shot back in August of 2015, so placed an order. They billed me, but order still just shows pending as of today Jan 14, 2016. I have e-mailed them a lot, and tried to call, but only got 2 messages back saying they are on back order. So I will not do business with them again.
