A really stupid question this is but here goes. I purchased a HS-81MG from an individual on ebay which was froze up when I got it. When I opened it up it had all plastic gears.

Aren't they supposed to be metal or is it just the motor gear itself that it metal?????

Nope, all except the first gear should be metal. The first gear is always plastic to avoid damage to the motor.

I would contact the seller for compensation.
