Default Hitec HG-5000 (Logictech 2100T) and DX6i - TL at low gain?

Hey guys,

For some reason, the Tail Lock light on the gyro only comes on when I set the TX at low gain, below 45% or so. Is that normal? I know GY401 acts the other way around, is that true?

Are you using the GYRO option on the DX6i, or just leave it off (INH)?
How about travel endpoint adjustment?

I set it up for 125% ETA, 30% GYRO, this way I get the TL on.

I'm a complete noob, this is my first heli ever and I only flew it twice. Wasn't too happy with the tail however - I didn't expect it to be fully locked but it moved just too much for me. I bought the heli used (Trex450) and the previous owner was oblivious to things such as servo movement limitation (it was badly binding at the ends), so I figured the setup is a mess anyway.

Thanks.

I have the same problem, only on mine ot's at 48%.

Also the gain value on DX6i is lower than the one indicated by the LEDs on the gyro.

I don't know if it affects anythings or if it can be fixed.

Anyone?

Well I figured it out in my case. The servo was mounted in reverse (below boom rather than above facing down), and the gyro channel was reversed too. When I changed it back, everything made sense.

Good luck!
