It's cause of their customer service!

I had just bought the brushless upgrade today, watched a video and read the instructions to make sure everything was good to go.

Powered up the Nano, check all good. Checking servo's, all good. Go to throttle, SMOKE and lots of it!

Motor, ESC, and 3 in 1 all go up in smoke, undo the battery and look for the cause of failure. The only thing I came across was one of the transistors on the 3 in 1 was burnt along with wires on the outside of the motor.

Called Horizon, explained what had happened, and they are gladly sending replacements, even though I have owned the Nano for about a year now.

Just wanted to share my story with you all, felt Horizon deserved the spot light here.

While I havent had to contact them yet (I own 7 blade helis) this is good to hear. I am planning on putting my brushless kit this weekend, so I'm hoping I don't get the same thing!

They shipped me a replacement BL upgrade board for mine yesterday because the wires came off it. They also shipped me 2 new motors for my QX when I got 2 bad ones from a LHS. I think their service is great, they are also personal and shoot the breeze and answer other questions while waiting on their systems etc... I'm really impressed.
