The used kit i got had the long balls on the inner swash. it was not pretty, the links were looking beaten up by hitting the outer swash while spinning.

If you want to reduce cyclic throw or increase the resolution, but keep collective throw the same you can install the long balls on the outer swash. I just use the short balls and setup was fine in the V-bar.

Thanks guys, that helps answer my question about the longer link balls, but I have read ALL the newer manuals, and while its a good thought, they still don't have instructions for installing the fbl upgrade kit. Being as all the new kits use the low fbl head, all the ball link lengths etc, are different. I was wanting linkage sizes, or at least something telling me, level the washout arms at 90deg. at zero pitch etc... they need to make a conversion manual. Who sells an upgrade kit with no instructions?

Upgrade manual for the first FBL conversion. Just have to imagine how the swash follower arms go together on the newer one.
