Default Dominator Canopy/ESC

Hey guys. Just finished up my 600L went to put the canopy on and it wont fit over the ESC. I have the align 130 installed on the front of the heli as shown in the manual. The only possibility I can see is to mount the ESC on the side of the frame. Thoughts and ideas are much appreciated. Thanks.

Either move the mount pins forward to give the canopy some room, or simply mount it on the side. I usually inside mount all mine, but have one 600 with a Castle on the side, doesn't seem to fly any differently.

Thanks for the idea. Id prefer to modify the least expensive parts if possible. I see a lot of photos of the castle 80 mounted on the side of the receiver mount in the triangle section instead of on top. The 130 doesn't fit but I can cut the mount to make it work. As of now that is my best option in my opinion. I'm going to wait until tomorrow to do it so any other ideas let me know. Thanks.

The Align ESC 130A fits but without the ventilator.
The canopy is very tight and you should also verify, if the batteries are far enough in the frame.
I don't fly 3d, therefor the motor and ESC don't get too hot. Throttle is at 65% in Heli Elf governor mode.
Pitch curve is a straight line from 0 to 100.

Fan mounted on esc canopy would not fit took fan off still would not fit. I was pressing canopy feeling it scraping and mashing on the esc. No good in my opinion not dealing with that every flight even if i could get it on. So my goal was to modify the cheapest part and that was to 20 dollar reciever mount.

Align didnt really think this through then!! i see you had to cut the receiver mount, are you still using a 2s lipo to power servos etc? i thought the esc bec was pretty good?

I had to cut the mount to have it fit freely without having any part of the esc rubbing on anything. I have read the bec in this esc is good however I have no plans on using it. I prefer the rx pack.

No worries I'm wondering if a 600x is due soon after the 700x and the 550x just announced!

Hope they fix tail ratio issue and make more in line with other 600 offerings

It`s very easy to change the tail ratio to 4.5 on the 600L. You just need to replace stock gears with this:
Torque Tube Front Drive Gear Set M0.6/40T H6NG001XXT
180T M0.6 Autorotation Tail Drive Gear set-Black H60020AA

It performs awesome at 2000rpm after this change.
