I had two times one of mine recently just lost motor power and I had to do emergency autos
I heared of this issue before i got my first blade 360cfx. Thought it was becouse of overtemperature of ESC. So i added full telemetry, to be warned before this happens. It happened, without warning. Castle Talon ESC shut down in flight without reason. It happened the next day again, hovering right in front of me. Changed to YGE, no more issues.

I think the self-leveling recovery mode is needed on all these small heli's. Too bad the Blade 360 doesn't have that, unless you add it.
Only Blade 360 with this Option is Trio 360cfx. Equipped with AR7210BX you can upgrade to Pro. For this reason, i got myself two of them.

Correct, you can add auto level on a AR7210BX FBL. If I'm not mistaken it costs around 100 Euro to "activate" this option.

Youre right, 100 euro will upgrade to MB Plus Pro V5 and provide different rescue modes, self-leveling, and bank-switching. I upgrade both of mine.

Those who are interested in upgrading their AR7210BX, I've added a link below.

Here you can find how to get it, what is needed,... etc etc

I've been having this problem also, several shut-downs in flight for no apparent reason. I was wondering if the E-flite ESC is overheating, since it always happens after pushing the heli hard through some 3d. What is the amp rating on your Talon ESC?

Except for the "trial and error" of swapping it out with a more burly ESC, which is what I intend to do.

Also noticed the gentleman with Trex 500 landing gear on his 360CFX has his ESC mouted to the outside of the frame, where it would get more airflow. Makes me wonder if this ESC brownout is a somewhat known issue.

I've never had an ESC issue with my original 6S version even running it on lower cell count packs.

Rating is 35A. This is the stock ESC. Here is the telemetry log, temperature and curent were uncritical. I had about 50 flights before, every time telemetry data similar to this.

Now i changed to YGE 35 LVT. Rating is 35A. More than 200 flights now, no issues yet. Startup at super soft sinus modulation, full telemtry including capacity, reduced space and weight, reduced internal resistance, reduced temperature and current. I love it.

Well, being a 6s bird means it can fly on less amps, and more efficiently - taking strain off the ESC. The 3s version only has a little higher amp rating than 6s, so I'm thinking that is problematic.

I agree. If i had the 3S bird, and any issues with ESC, i would choose the YGE 65 LVT. That should be plenty of rating.

I ordered a main gear and was shocked to find it is on backorder until late March or ?? If someone has an extra I will gladly pay $15 plus the postage. Or if there is a substitute main gear that I don't know about I would appreciate the information.

You could try the Lynx Heli LX0330 CNC main gear. Fits the 360cfx perfect!
