No I don't Shawn. Not the Logo I hoped it would be.
I'll stick with my 7Hv, more Logo than the L700 I think.

Mikado is looking into it, its not impossible even though one reply on the mail said that was their view i can assure everyone that Mikado is checking.
As Dave posted in another thread, Mikado is changing facilities this winter, it's a huge project which takes resources, sometimes information get's overlooked and a mail response might not be talked through internally. |

So you've flown a L700?

Nope, was hoping for something more along the lines of the 500/600 line not the XXTreme.
Simple, low part count, light disk loading and pretty. L700/800 doesn't do it for me, sorry.

No worries but you should fly one when can as I thought same prior to trying one. In no way does a 7hv fly near as good as a Logo 700 and there is no feel of being too heavy if it was or didn't fly well I would simply sell it no questions.

Oh I'm sure it flies great, just not crazy bout the layout, TT, crazy beef head. Pack mounting would be PITA for me too.
For my abilities I love my 7hv, easy to wrench, one pin to swap packs and it flies great. New tail made a huge difference, should have been this way from the start. Machined Delrin gear is nice too, at least as quiet as my L600. Albeit L600 is running 2100/2200 and 7Hv 1900/2000. I used to get blow out too going backwards into fast funnel with stock tail and 115's. Now with new tail and even KBDD 104's it holds just fine. If you ever get a chance to try one with new parts(Jeff's maybe) I'd like to hear if you still lose tail in hurricane to funnel. Sorry for the OT J, hope you get sorted out.

Hey Gimpy.
Yes, we will get some flying in together next season for sure. I hope this gets resolved too. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that my gear is warped. I will use it so long as I get an O.K. from Mikado that it will be fine. Just never expected this, thats for sure. Are you still flying Gimpy? Or have you called it a season? J |

Ya pretty BS I say. They probable think you some how did this.
I wouldn't run it, remember how fast your gear went with the messed up pinion. Or if pinion height isn't spot on, couple flights and pow. I'm still flying, crashed my new Warp yesterday 25 seconds into first flight, to weak BEC on Jazz 40. Going to PO right now to pick up E5, will have that flying for the weekend maybe. You still flying?

PM me your address as I said ill send you one myself if you wish so that its not such a concern. Mikado is literally in middle of a move of their production and packing facility at the moment and response you got was from one of the folks working for Ralph not Ralph himself.

Stolla:
Whats this about torque tube bearings???? Any pics? Yes, the frames are surprisingly loose fitting especially the rear plate. |

I just put some epoxy o the rc plate. No big deal.
Not sure what you're referring to in regards to the torque tube bearings??? |

It happened with mine as well. The bearing holders for the torque tube, the ones that the o-ring goes around, when you slide the torque tube into the tail the holders can come apart since they are two separate halves. Its a PIA but I don't find it to result in a "lower" quality heli...just something to watch out for...no big deal.

I haven't discussed this with Stolla, but the TT bearings are encased in a what looks to be a delrin cage, with an o-ring that goes around the cage to hold the units in the tube. The delrin cage is actually two parts that are glued together capturing the bearing in the middle.
I suspect an instance occurred where the two parts came loose, which has happened to us. We just glued them back. Dave |

Happened to mine as well while pushing the torque tube bearings in. Even when well greased the fit is quite tight and the O-rings are pushed quite hard against the retainer half.
Delrin (it appeared to be delrin to me as well) is a very difficult material to bond together and although it is frustrating, it is an easy fix. I just dabbed a bit of 5min epoxy around the halves to hold them back together and all is fine. I agree about the frame stiffeners within the chassis though, they were all loose in the assembly, not really providing any stiffening. Again a few dabs of epoxy at the mounting points makes it quite a stiff structure. Although at the high end of the hobby people expect perfection, I think a reasonable amount of the responsibility falls on the shoulders of the builder to ensure a quality outcome. I'm not defending the issues at hand, but I don't find them unacceptable. A little bit more savvy answers from a customer service standpoint though would seem to be the bigger issue at hand. Sometimes I believe things get lost in the translation and come across a little harsh. I think the responsibility there falls on the shoulders of the dealer more so the manufacturer to smooth things over. |

No because this happened on assembly...

Yes, only on pushing the units into the boom. Once installed, the TT is long lasting and maintenance free.
I oil the boom 360 degrees around on the inside prior to EACH bearing unit going into the boom. Just oiling it once, and pushing all the units in, well...the first unit wipes the oil / grease, making each successive unit sliding into the boom progressively harder to get in. (-: Dave |

My kit showed up yesterday , got to drool a bit over the parts before bed.
Lets hope my gear is straight. My TT method. I use the silicone shock oil on the inside of the tube and some around the holder to go in. I try to put a little extra oil in the tube ahead of the bearing holder , work it down a bit , if it starts to get some friction , pull it back a few inches and try agian. Once the second bearing goes in a bit of oil is all thats needed. The inital oiling of the boom is the hard part, work it back and forth a few times , if that still doesn't free it up , pull it out and add a bit more oil (start over) Even the goofy align TT holders work with this method. Martin

Used a light grease made for plastic, Molykote em30l. Pushed a wad of paper through the boom first to clean it, pushed another paper with the grease on it, more grease on each bearing. Went in like butter. LIke the molykote because it's not supposed to attack plastics.
