I lowered gain but the tail is sh.t at 2100 slow wag and not.locked in, at higher gain wags so pulled apart t/tube checked it out pulled apart grips recheck thrust bearings all ok, wondering if its the silverline, at 1850, higher gain tail is good, seems more like a t/tube resonance kicking in at 2100 my friends one sounds the same, not a happy sound for sure, i will see how low i can go on gain tomorrow and post result, maybe lowering headspeed to 2050 is the answer, this may be why this machine is not recommended for high headspeed dunno, perhaps 115 with much lower gain the answer

Thanks mrmel, yup saw that one but didnt see anything in mine, made one BIG mistake though, did not take into account my 19 t pinion and took for granted default gearing in software so i should have had 9.21 was 9.72, which incidently also wrong, means i ran approx 2200, maybe just a tad too fast, will test tmorrow. It happens when you are in a hurry and too busy to read all the posts!. Btw whats your favourite h/ speed on this bird?

Wow the snow looks awesome. It almost never snows here and if it does you better take a picture quick because its gonna be gone in hours. My 700's tail has been perfect, initial set up and forget about it.

Snow don't mind but when it's -40 for a few weeks we'll all be jealous of you Stolla and the southern states watering their lawns. I haven't now flown in weeks and suspect few and far days between here and April of weather above 0

Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas with their families and friends!!!

Ok now after 10 flights following settings work very well for me, agility 100, cyclic ring 95, but still too slow cyclic so on futaba increased dual rate on tx to 115 % in id 2 gives me perfect speed of rotation for specific manouvres such as agressive nose down rolling funnels. Id 1 100% rates good for normal backwards rolling circuits etc. I find the increased dual rates to work better for me once i have a good agility starting point than going too high on agility etc. Also increasing optimizer values work but i prefer not to hook up pc whole time so my shortcut for increased speed of rotation is increased dual rates, also nice as you can have different rates for different flightmodes and banks, i use same procedure on beast x as well. But check your throws as although rates doesnt increase, i.e only speed of rotation increases going too high on vbar cause conflict so you will see that on swash as it will jump back on input.
I got rid of what sounds like a resonating sound over 2100 by dropping headspeed tp 2050 and slighly more play between pinion and maingear (most likely cause of resonance imop ). Also dropped tail gain to 72 in id 2. It flies quite nice now, very precise, for sure it feels heavier than my rappy but its not bad just different, which i like cause i dont like all my machines fly the same. Next step now 14 s,the 4400 tp's does feel good though, just flightimes under 4 mins bit short

Nice, looking forward to your thoughts on the 14s setup.
I'm jealous of your flying weather, here's my current conditions at my flying area, -25 c, not going to get around to trying the 14s any time soon !

Nice truck!

As for -25 its not that bad, unless there is wind, or moisture, then you reall feel it.

but -25 is definetly bring a jacket if you are going to be outside for extended periods
