Total G ?
Ok I'm new to fbl and have a align 3G system but decided to get another system after all the negative stuff on the forums. I then bought a used skookum 720 and it had a little issue so the seller took it back.
Now I have bought the total g and view2. I'm putting this on a compass 6hv and I'm using a jr9503 tx with the r921rx plus remote rx. I bought 2 extra remote jr rx's and I'm going to try and set up with the 3 sats and not the rx. It is a 12s system and I'm using the cc80hv with a wr super bec. I have the align 610's on cyclic and the jr ds8900 on tail. I have the bec set to 6v and was going to use the align step down reg to 5.1v. I don't know if the total g allows on it's bus higher voltage and a separate lower voltage for the tail didn't know if I could crank to 8v on cyclic and 5 on tail. I read the posts here and was wondering if I was going in the right direction with this. Should I use the pc software or view 2 to setup. Any help on this before I start would be great. Thank you |

The Total G is fine w/ up to 10V input on the servo bus according to CJY, but all servos are on the same bus and are thus run at that voltage. The Align stepdown will only drop .7V from whatever it's connected to, so if you're going w/ more than 6V input, you'll need some kind of regulator for the tail servo.
Many seem to prefer using the G View 2 for programming, but I have no problems w/ the PC software. I haven't tried the G View, nor do I have any intention to any time soon. |
