Default How do you spool up

Ok whats the preferred way to spool up the blades. Set a HS like 1600 in ESC & flip throttle hold switch then when ready put throttle stick at mid point & switch out of TH. Just curious as this is way i do it. But looking at other options.

Reason is other day i just landed & was going to spool back up & this damn dog ran out towards my heli so i just glanced over at dog for a split second & when i looked back the heli was doing the chicken dance on ground.. I know i shouldn't have looked away but i did & it gonna cost me around $150.00 in parts... It was a rookie mistake by me. Next time there will be a dead dog before this happens again...

That's how I do it. You do need an ESC with a good soft start.

You did right by the Dog, it's some little girl or boy's best bud.
Preserve life at all cost. Heli can always be fixed.

Ordered almost $200.00 worth of parts. Now just found bent main shaft, it just keeps adding up. Sent my Castle ESC back to Castle due to the capacitors came out, thought they could fix but was informed today that it has no power coming out of it. So now its another $155.00 for replacement. So i'am up to over $350.00 in damages...
