Any update on this - i'm thinking of jumping into a nano for some livingroom fun, and this would help with the shopping list.

That's a really good weight for 200mAh.

The MiniAviation 180 are 5g.
The Hyperion 180 without the shrink wrap and just the connector is already 5.39g.

The 200mAh I have weighs 6g.

Who knows, it may not be 5g. Or it may not be 200mah. I have never had a poor battery from Oversky though. All have been great actually.

Just picked up 2 of these spyder 160's for my mild kit to try out.

http://www.progressiverc.com/1s-160mah-15c.html

One of them is damn good so far. The other is a complete turd and heli bogs badly after 1 minute. They both only have about 5 cycles so far so we will see.

I still haven't decided what to get but I did order 2 180mah Hyperion to try out.

But that 200mah oversky sparked my interest for sure. If anyone has any experience with oversky lipos in general please share.

Having the UM connector mounted on the pack makes it a lot easier to connect and disconnect. It also fits in those cheap 6-port chargers. Yes, those chargers most likely suck but I'm giving one a go, I like the idea of a tiny portable kit able to charge 6 batteries and run the charger from a larger lipo.

Edit: microheli has been leaving a bad aftertaste so I didn't notice that its pretty much the same lipo. Let us know if you have tried one.

I have used quite a few oversky batteries on my walkera helis. They were always of good quality so I would not hesitate to give them a try.

Thumbs up

I just finished flight testing the 240 Hyperions on a mild kit and they're awesome!!!
The heli does feel a bit heavier (which to me is a good thing, more similar to my 450), but the extra power compensates nicely.

Sport flying, they give full power all the way up 5-6 minutes. Just out of curiosity I went on flying and then with some slow circles and stuff, I hit LVC at 9 minutes!
I'm currently using 69% throttle where it feels pretty similar to stock without the bogging.

I just my hands on a few sample Gens Ace lipos for my Nano. Also the same size as the stock packs, but a few mm longer. They weight in at 4.7g ( .6g heavier than the stock packs) and they have been preforming great. I'm not sure on the exact mAh, but I think they are around 160-180mAh. Been testing them out all weekend long and I think they have more punch than my Hyperion 180's.

Has anyone found that 150 and 160mah batteries don't provide enough power to the wild motor and will spin the tail around making it unflyable? 200 is the lowest ive tried without scary random spin outs so far.

If you like those which I did...

You should give the MCPX Lectron pro 35c battery a try.... Ever more pop then the Hyperions for a longer time and they hold the head speed much better.

The Hyperions would bog like crazy outside in some wind but the Lectron Pro's dont.

Yes they are heavier but I did a back to back test with the stock eflight battery (4x fresh brand new after I put 10 cycles on them)and the lectron pro 35c battery is kick ass.... I can flip and roll with no bog at all running 75%.

Thanks but I have 10 of these hyperions (crazy sale of £2.49 = $4) and any extra weight will go towards durability: airtime skids and a better canopy. I won't use this outside till next summer - hopefully these will last until then

Default TURNIGY 1S 160mAh 30C 3,7V

Hi,
I´ve ordered 3 x 3 batteries TURNIGY 1S 160mAh 30C 3,7V from HH. They work well with the stock main motor but... I´m very disappointed about using these batteries together with my new BL Mild Kit. 1 or 2 of them are OK. Comparing with stock batteries the E-flites are much stronger. For 7 of 9 TURNIGY´s the LVC will cut off after 1 Min. With some T.´s it´s not even possible to start the BL Heli. Now after studying these pages I´ve ordered 190mAh Miniaviations from Richard

Thought I'd revive this thread.

Been flying the Mild BL setup for a couple weeks now and love it. Completely transforms this little heli.

It came time to purchase some more batteries and I decided that I want to keep it light so I went with the Hyperion 160's. They are about .6g heavier than the stock packs. At first they didn't hold RPM throughout the flight quite as well as the stock batteries but after 5 cycles or so I can't tell a difference between them and the stock packs. Both are good for 3.5 minutes of stick banging.
