Lightbulb Hobbymate & BEC

Hi Guys I need some help, I converted my 450 3D to flybarless with the hobbymate HB800 and my receiver is a spektrum 8000 and I'm trying to install a castle 10amp bec so HB has it own power and I'm not sure where to plug the bec lead to, I've tried to the reciver and I only have power to throttle and the only place on the HB is the system plug and I not sure it should go there. Help Please

Pull all the wires out if the bec plug except the pos and plug it in an unused port. I got mine on my at7200bx plugged in the aux3port.

You can also pull the pos wire and stick it in any unused pos slot.

If the bec and rx are isolated you can use the esc to power rx and the bec to run fbl. If they are not isolated you need to make sure the pos on the esc plug is removed. But honestly the rx should power the fbl through the servo jumper wires..

This doesn't list the 8000 as one of the affected Rx's, but if it is, try one of the solutions listed there:

Quote:
For those of you with the affected CC BECs and Spektrum receivers there are at least three solutions:
  1. Remove the orange signal wire from the CC BEC RX power lead before you plug the lead into the battery port on the receiver.
  2. Plug the entire/intact lead from the CC BEC into any other port on the receiver.
  3. Use a "Y" connector to plug the entire CC BEC lead into any port other than the BATT port on the receiver.

Is the Spektrum Satellite required to use with a DX6i or other Spektrum Tx?

Or does the HB800 bind with the Tx?

Do I need a separate Spektrum Rx?

You will need a receiver. Despite what the documentation states, it doesn't in fact support satellites.

Seems like the HB800 is getting harder to find... Not even the ebay sellers are carrying them. I wonder if they are even being manufactured...

I just checked, and I was able to find one on ebay. Maybe the holiday season depleted stock.

Yeah I did a quick search all I could find was $120.00 with a 450 DFC Head. I paid 69.99 +13.00 shipping for the same thing.

Hi I also checked it online, harder to find it now,but It seemed the hobbymate800 is the same as this one:

http://onlyfinehelis.com/flybarless/...control-system

the chinese factory name is BigaOle,and even the manuals are all the same, just the logo is different.

It seems hobbycool has them still (HB800)

http://www.hobbycool.com/hobbymate-f...ers-p-715.html

But the interesting thing is that it mentions spektrum sats are an option and they cost more now - as my one can not use sats, does this mean these now have a higher version of the beastx code in them - if so, anyone know which version it's compatible with?

Edit: seems sold out thou..

Until someone can confirm it, I would assume this is the same old thing they've said about the HB800 since the beginning -- that it has sat support but really never did. If that's the case, then the higher price is perhaps due to lower availability?

Would be sweet if they managed an upgrade, though.

BTW, mhobbies has them if anyone is looking to scoop one up. They have a good image of the manual, too, but I can't vouch for that retailer.

Default Bigaole comes complete with manual

Our Bigaole is actually the OEM original version of the Hobbymate.

The firmware was updated in September for a slight improvement in tail authority.

Each unit comes with a printed manual.
