Hey guys,

With the weather around 4 degrees today, I couldn't help but maiden my new Warp (sorry Scott)

Maiden FLIGHTS went great, just in the small street in front of my house. Here is some feedback:
- It was a little windy (20-25km/hour), but the Warp didn't seem to care to much at 2850rpm;
- It is VERY quiet. I remember the whine of my 450X;
- It flips and rolls on a dime;
- Power is a bit lacking at 2850RPM, but I don't know what to do to increase it at this point. The Talon 35 maxes out at 100% throttle and 2850RPM;
- She flew well at 2650 and 2750RPM;
- COG is interesting. The battery has to be very far towards the nose to get it close.
- Flight times seem reasonable. I kept it at 3min and came down at 3.85V/cell. Will probably push it to 4min later.
- My first jump into telemetry went great. RPM and Voltage readings were quite reliable.

I uploaded a video on YouTube. Let me know what you think! Thanks to my wife for taking the video

LOL .... awesome! Glad to see you got it in the air, and in record time!

Regarding the headspeed, pinion up or pitch up.

... are you governed at that speed?
... how much pitch are you running?
... where is your PWM and Timing set to?

Hey guys,

Here is a list of all my Talon 35 settings. Pitch is currently at 12*. I'm guessing I could pretty easily go up to 13*? Batteries are very new

- Throttle Type: Governor Mode
- Gov Gain: Low (15)
- Auto Rotation enabled;
- Governor mode type: fixed;
- Gear ratio: 8.438;
- Motor KV: 1320;
- Motor Poles: 8
- Headspeed 1: 2700 (30% throttle curve);
- Headspeed 2: 2800 (70% throttle curve);
- Headspeed 3: 2900 (100% throttle curve);
- Motor Timing (Low 0);
- PWN Rate: 8 KHz

Was just able to increase the headspeed 3 to 2950 while staying within the overhead range...

What did it say ESC is operating at?
Evey one says going to 107% is fine, must be WAR POWER.
Just set it as high as it will let you w/o going red.

Nice maiden. I assume your running the 16 tooth pinion supplied with the kit? If so, just up it to the 17 or 18 tooth and run 3200rpm governed for idle 2. That should wake it right up

Ya stock pinion. Next crash, I will probably move up to a higher pinion to give me a larger range of head speeds I want to fly.

On that note, I normally end up flying the lower head speeds anyways, so maybe it won't be an issue.

Yah, 2969rpm is the highest theoretical value you can achieve using the CC governor.

Try upping your pitch to 13*

If that doesn't do it for you, then bump up to the 17T pinion.

you need to watch out if you want to use high teeth count pinion then run low throttle to get lower headspeed. Your ESC will heat up, and your motor will not be running efficiently.

CC software will recommend the efficient throttle % for normal, IU1, and IU2 for your given setup. If you operate below this, I know people who have had issues with CC ESC.

I am by no means an expert, so experts please enlighten us.

You need to usethe right pinion for your desired HS.

@Swedishe

However I'm using the stock ESC, when I maidened, I measured almost the same RPM on my Warp.
That was the max for me to what I could get out from on 92% throttle.
I started to surf a little bit on the net and found a webshop where the exact specs of the stock motor were writen.
So, I suggest to you to raise the PWM to 10. Mine got more power and cooler after this tiny modification in settings.
Oh, and now RPM is 3130 on 75% ;-)

Regards,
Marcell

Lycka till!
