Diablo speed new record.
Miles Dunkel came in 2nd place with his Diabolo S 298 km/h. And why didn't Miles fly a 3 blades set up? Gerd Any plans in the near future considering the new results?

Not much out there unless you speak German (or use google translate....a lot!). Juergen, who has Diabolo S #19, came in 4th, and posted the first results, that I had seen, on the thread above

Henseleit (I assume Jan) posted on the Henseleit Facebook page a video, but Robert's heli didn't go down, so I'm confused, because on the Henseleit helicopters Facebook page (and the video that I posted from there, it did), they were saying (the best I could tell using Google translate), that he had some sort of tail issue. Maybe it was two separate runs. Anyway, 185 mph for the Diabolo S is pretty damn good!

Very nice!! What happened to Miles DS on the last flight? Over current? Any damage....damn I hope that does not happen to me. Nice flight guys! Must say I'm a bit nervous to do the turn pull down maneuver like Miles in the video....on the TDR yes easy...but with my Diabolo S...well that takes a special set of underwear.

It's funny, I've see many saying they don't like stall turns, but it seems like many of the speed guys use that technique. Personally, I like the spilt S that Miles is doing. I would think that would help keep more momentum versus the stall turn. Admittedly, I have no clue what I'm doing though.

The controller had several short shut downs. He crashed two weeks before for another reason and obviously the esc got a (hidden) failure. Perhaps a micro crack on the PCB board. He has sent it to the manufacturer now for inspection.
