CNC Blade holder bearings

Anyone have a method for removing the inner and outer blade holder bearings on the Esky CNC head? I need to replace the bearings on both blade holders and trying to remove them is a real pain its like they are pressed into the holders. Any suggestions??

I had to change one and it is a real pain, took a rod smaller in diam then the bearings and hit the bearing out from the other side, the inner ring and balls came out leaving the outer ring still in place , had to fiddle with a screwdriver for an hour to get the outer ring out.
I hope for you someone has a better method to get it out otherwise you have to endure the pain/frustration of getting it out the hard way. You can always buy a new blade holder.

Hey can comment on if this would work or not.

But when I replace the bearing's in my engine casings for my go-kart i put the casings in the oven for 30 minutes and the bearings either fall out or need a soft tap to fall out.

I then do the same thing to fit the new bearings.

About 180C for 30 Min but remember that a engine casing is a lot larger and bulker less time would be needed for your application.

I have never had trouble taking those bearings out:S I have had to replace a few blade holders but I have always used the same bearings

Just guess I have been lucky?

Sorry, just realised that you have the CNC blade holders.

I have the plastic ones. That explains why mine are easier to get out

I just used this method after crashing my CNC'd Belt.

I left the head in the freezer over night, then put it in the oven at 180 F for 10 mins. The aluminun head warms and expands much faster than the steel bearings and you can push the bearings out quite easily.

When putting the new ones in, just warm the head up a little bit, and the room temperature bearings will press right in.

Old trick from my hot rodding days. Works any time there are two different metals involved.

Don't try it with the plastic head....
