800 Servo Ratings

My question is mostly about cyclic servos as the tail runs about the same blades as a 700 so I am assuming a ds650 will be just fine. Could I also run the ds615 servos as the cyclic or do I really need the HV servos?

800 has bell cranks so you could easily use 6v servos. The new hv servos are savox rebrands and will be more efficient. So far with the exception of the tail servo NOT playing nice with my heli command hc3-sx the hv servos have performed very well for most of us.....

I use savox 1267 for cyclic, they are controlled by cc bec 20A and regulated at 7.4 V.
Very happy with them. For the size of this bird i dont need faster then what they already are capable of.

Has anyone tried MKS or Futaba HV servos

I just bought some KST DS715MGs and have tested them on the bench. They are nothing short of amazing. You can run them directly with a 2S lipo. Hands down far better than my DS615's. I'm in the process of assembling my 800E so I'll report back on how it flies with them.
