Sorry I will not do that.... You have to measure your pitch and understand what you want... Giving a number is NOT my thing... You need to understand what the swash numbers do and what they mean. Giving you number will either crash you or not have you setup as you might need...

okay if Bob won't then i will:

Aileron:5%
Elevator:5%
Pitch:5%
Bob i think he'll be safe with these numbers.....and the heli should last him a long time.

okay could'nt resist.

i helped set-up and test fly a Trex 500n and found for :

3D flight that 13 degrees collective and 9 degrees cyclic with align 3k paddles(black) worked great

Sport flight that 11.5 degrees collective and 8 degrees cyclic

I was only asking as I am having to reduce my values from the preset 60 in order to avoid any binding. I can't ever remember doing this as normally its increased.

Just wondered if everyone was having this trouble or if it was just me and I had gone wrong somewhere?!?!?

My values are in the low 50's and the pitch is +12 and -12

It is not the Nitro conversion causing this. Originally the Trex500 manual (using non Align servos) said to have the balls out on the arms 16mm. Later when Align came out with the ESP combo using their servos, at 16mm the balls hit the servos tops. So they changed the manual to have the balls out 19mm. When you go out to 19mm you have to reduce the swash mix from what many used before at 16mm.

what do you think about power vs. the stock 500L engine?

im hoping the 3026 1600kv scorpion motor will give me more power.

In my opinion an electric has more raw torque than the nitro. The difference is a more consistent flight from start to finish. e.g. you have the same power throughout the entire flight vs electric where power starts to drop off as the batteries drain.

Bob do you have any problem with the heat on the receiver.i flew my first flight today with a os 32 running it rich and it seemed a bit hot back around the receiver .

This sure makes an interesting option to my first nitro heli. I've been looking at the T-Rex 600NSP and the Century 50NX for the last few weeks until I saw this nitro conversion a few days ago.

What I like about this conversion is the fact that its a T-Rex. Also the longer flight times over electric, as well as the reduced fuel consumption compared to the .50 size birds. Not to mention that you won't find this heli everywhere you go. Seems like it would be the opposite, that you would probably the only one with a heli like this in most places.

What makes me hesitant to lean in the direction of this conversion, is the possible novelty factor that this heli might have.

FYI you dont get longer flight times. I get 5 minutes basically with a properly tuned engine. I flew the snot out of this thing this weekend. I have to say it is a fun heli for some reason that I just cant figure out. Everyone at the field gives me a hard time about it but what can I say. When something is just fun, it's just fun!
