Question Can a 550X yoke be used on a 500?

I stripped the countersunk screw on my 500's swash leveler for the last time. Can I just swap the 550X one piece yoke (04619) with the current components and get her back in the air or are additional parts needed to make it work?

Thanks guys.

FYI it can be used but it's not worth the trouble unless you're upgrading it all. You'll need the shorter shaft, counter bearing etc.

FYI you do not need the counter bearing nor the bottom plate that comes with the 550SX.

I purchased the yoke and the shorter main shaft. I also purchased a pack of shims and a 10x19x5 bearing. For the servo to swash I bought the longer links, 35mm, and for the swash to grips I purchased the shorter rods, 40mm I think.

Under the main gear I put the bearing and then I packed out the difference to the c-clip with shims.

You will also need some longer screws for the swash driver arms. At present you will have 14mm button heads and they need to be 20mm button heads.

At the end of the day what this gives you is the head is about 10mm lower and you don't have to worry about getting the swash driver in the correct position, a faster setup.

Yeah maybe I should have been clearer. If crashed and had to order a bunch of parts yeah why not buy all that to make the change.

I just wanted to know if it was a direct swap and the answer is no. I will say thanks for the reply with what it takes to use the new yoke. All I got from tech support was a "you're better off getting all the SX components instead of trying to mix and match parts to make the SX Yoke work".
