Default Glacier Lipo user reviews

I'm going to be ordering about $1000.00 worth of batteries for this season. I know Gens Ace is tried and true, but I would like to here some user reviews on the Glacier units.
So, if you have used Glaciers, let's here about it.

They are made by Gens Ace.

Depends what they paid they're levels they can choose when doing an oem from a major. They choose level of time for assuring cell matching, solder time, chemistry and polymer content. Unless someone took one apart and has proper testing equipment tough to say.

The couple I have are fantastic, well made, come down cool. I'm not bothering with Gens anymore personally.

Not sure if I want to give a positive review. I remember praising Gens Ace, as did many other people... look what happened to their stock

Their stock is not the manufacturers fault. It's the us supplier that is lacking. And with the recent price increase its not worth the crap the us supplier gives. I don't even look at gens ace anymore.

I like my glacier packs. 2 - 6s 5300's. come down cool and provide nice power

Glacier and Pulse lipos are the two that I'd be looking at now, if I were to make a new purchase. The prices are about the same and both seem like they're from the same manufacturer. The Glaciers should be back in stock sometime next week, according to EPBuddy.

I have limited experience with Glacier. I've purchased three 4s 3300's in total and one of those had a dead cell. Dale at Epbuddy told me they check total voltage rather than cell voltage as a QC and that's probably why it made it out the door with a dead cell. It was replaced and EPbuddy paid for return shipping and I've been good to go since.

I've had to return two items and both times EP Buddy has done an excellent job with customer service. Good to see that others are having a positive experience as well.

I have not tried them as of yet so no comment on the lipo's. Dale is a great guy and the customer service is great.

Hey there. I have 4 5300mah 6s glacier lipos that I use in my 550e DFC. I have been really impressed with Dale over at EP Buddy. I have had no issues whatsoever with my batteries and I highly recommend them. They come down cool.....barely above ambient temp....almost imperceptable change in temp. Cant go wrong.....especially for the money.

I have 5 sets in three different helis, the 5300's are identical to my older 30c gen ace packs. So far so good , but I don't have a 100 cycles on any of them. my GA's didn't loose cells until 130 and 150 cycles on the two I have had drop out a cell. Sstill great packs for the money. GA is pricing them selfs right out of my fleet.

Default GLACIER LIPO

Purchased one Glacier and one Gens few weeks ago, flying alternately.
Both are 6S 5300.
Running them on my -Rex 550E DFC Pro (with 600 size Align Blades)
- Same temp (slightly warm only) after 5min, 15 sec flight. Loads 2900-3000 mAh back after flight
- Both
- I charge them @ 11Amps using iCharger 206B, 13.8V P-Supply
- around 19min to fully charge (Balance charging).
- Only over 10 flights on each, so far. Getting same performance & results. HAPPY so far.

Size/Dimension = same.
Weight = same
IR = same (0-3 milli ohm)

Gens = 12 AWG / Banana plug
Glacier = 10 AWG / EC5

Gens = 30C (paid $109)
Glacier = 35C (paid $109)

Gens = with aluminum plates on top and bottom surface.
Glacier = NO metal plates

* I only charge them when it's ready for use. 3.8V when stored. I have never stored them fully charged over 10hrs .

I'd like to chime in as well, bought 4 35c 3S 2200's for my 450. They're amazing, cheap, the presoldered connectors and high quality "cable saver" balance plug are awesome. cell IR of around 2.

My buddy flys 30c thunderpowers, and when he flew one of my glaciers he went home and ordered a pair. That sounds like something you hear in a commercial, but he really did like them that much. A great lil brand!

Everyone still having luck with the Glacier packs? Im trying to decide between these and Pulse for my goblin 700. Looks like great reviews on both brands but I can get the Glaciers for a better price but would rather put out the extra money if the Pulse packs are better.
