I fly with the 10 inch props.
I use the standard 10A ESC and the scorpion motors.
I use 3S Lipos:

No problem.

Yes, that's my understanding.
I forgot to mention: I fly the 10 inch props with the center frame extension kit. I don't think they fit with the standard frame.

Olivier06 I want to ask you if you are carrying any payload or are you flying 10 inch props for better performance? I need more lift to carry a bigger camera. So, more weight plus bigger props mean bigger amp load. I cant imagine the 10a ESC's will handle as much current as I may be drawing. I need bigger esc's and motors. And of course the frame extended.

But I may use motors much bigger than the stock 330x's. Im sure I will also have to build my own frame to make room for even bigger ( 12 inch ?) props

So- if anyone is flying larger props, bigger ESC's and bigger mo0tors, what are you using?

On the AP forum a guy went real big and is only using the gyro from the 330x. Different ( homebuilt) frame, motors and ESC's

I understand that if you buy all the extension parts from gaui you could fly 12 inch props, though the motor plates extensions ended up breaking on mine.

They are reports that you can lift a sony nex5 with the standard 8 inch props, so I don't see much of a reason to want to go much bigger than 10 to 12 inch.

I lift a light panasonic lumix lx7 with either the 8inch or 10 inch. With the 10inch props, I hover at about 1/4 of the full throttle (which was maxed at 80% according to the instructions).

Default lumix mount

Hello Olivier,
It seems like the post is very old but I want to give it a shot.
I am building a quadcopter for taking aerial shots with a lumix zs10. I am a little bit confused which mount to use.I want to use a tilt mount and want to operate it on the fly.

Do you have any recommandations?
Could you post me a photo of your mount?

merci beacoup

I also use 10" props with the original motors and esc's but I did upgrade to a 450 size frame.

All the original equipment fits just fine in the bigger frame.

I got my 450 frame from hoverthings.com. Good stuff with outstanding customer service.
