PJACQ Mild/Wild (topcopter): kits still avail.?
Hello, I'm hoping pjacq is still selling the mild BL kits for the Blade Nano Cpx. Does anyone know the latest? I saw the previous post but since this is my very first post, I couldn't PM him directly. Thanks!

Are you guys lubricating these motors?
If so, will triflow be okay(since thats what i have handy). Where/ how do you apply the oil and how frequently? Cheers....

I think you want something like this:
http://www.scorpionsystem.com/catalo...brication_Kit/ though it doesn't have to be this brand. I got some generic brand motor bearing oil from my LHS that seems to work fine. You apply a TINY drop of it to the top and bottom bearings of the motor. How often? Every few dozen flights, maybe? I don't know for sure what makes the most sense. |

Thanks for the advice.
I just ordered the Mild Kit from PJACQ. Looking forward to testing it with my new Eflite 45C lipos. Any advice on throttle and pitch settings welcome please. I would like to keep stock tail length and motor if possible. Main aim is to fly sport/ mild 3d like stock but with a better main motor reliability. cheers....

Run a flat 65% TC in normal, 70% in IU1 and 78% in IU2. Adjust your pitch travel to 85% and you'll be good to go.The stock tail length/motor will work just fine with a mild set-up. Most who have problems with a stock length tail have other factors, i.e. bad setup or vibrations, contributing to their dilemma.

Wow. Kit arrived really quick. Got the MILD kit
Have made the install and direct wired everything. I have a very snug gear mesh. update. Fixed it by removing motor and reinstalling Set up throttle as per a previous thread. I dont understand the 68% and 72% magic numbers to give two different throttle rpm....but they work. 68% arming gives 3900rpm 72% arming gives 4200rpm these are both less than stock motor. Heli flies great with hardly any bogging. Tail blows out if I give an unrealistic pitch pump from hover. I already limited my pitch to 85%. Not too worried about this anyway. I highly recommend this kit for ease of install and performance so far. Another happy customer. Thanks PJACQ!

Has anyone installed Jims NPFG along with the PJACQ frame support/spacer?
It seems it would take the place of the second spacer quite nicely.

No need for using part of the PJACQ frame support/spacer if you have Jim's gizmo. It was designed to accommodate all aftermarket motors, strengthen the frame after modification and adds CF canopy pins.

Send a private message to pjacq here at helifreak and ask him if he has any kits left.

mild main with brushed extended 7mm tail motor
Using oversky 200mah lipos and airtime low profile skids I am still tail heavy with lipo all the way forwards.
When I piro, I see my tail dip at around 180 degrees. Is this due to heavy tail and if so, any cure? Dont really want to add more weight.

You can try adjusting the servo rods...both front down (CW) 2 turns and see what that does for the piro...if it doesn't help you can always go back
To eliminate tail blowout, a 7mm tail motor is hard to beat...I have it on a dozen nCPX's without a single tail issue |

So much for zero pitch at midstick.

Honestly Craig...
How many times have you flipped TH off with IU2 active and automatically selected exactly 50 on the collective stick... It's not going to matter if it's 47 or 52 or anywhere in between, the heli is going to react in exactly the same way A short discussion on the exact topic came up at the Las Vegas Fun Fly...and everyone agreed that zero is an exact science that is great when it works...but when you need something else, go for it...your fingers aren't that perfect either Many pilots would rather have more positive pitch than negative, but that's personal preference...1/10 of a degree either way isn't a lot to be concerned with |

Turn the front two servo arms down two full turns down on a nano and see how parallel the blades are. I'll bet zero pitch is off more than a 1/10 of a degree. The main intention of my comment was that turning the servo links down two turns will do absolutely nothing the compensate for the tail dropping in a piro. Adding a 7mm tail motor will only exacerbate the problem and is not the cure all for poor setup.
