Default problems bearing blocks/ servo frames?? Pics added..

Came across yet another issue. I thought I'd check the rest of the parts I need to put together. I only have 3 of the bearings for the tail blade grips, there's supposed to be 4. Ugh so over it I should have had this heli build we'll finished by the start of last week!

Did you get this kit new?
Did you actually get brotos nimi from hobby king?
At this point I think only jokes can be made about your kit.

Sad thing is I emailed MSH advising of all the issues I've had and had no response. Not even an apology

MSH tend not to reply to anyone, ever, even if you are waiting for stuff you have purchased from their store.
Stay with the dealers, they should look after you.

Yeah it's bad on MSH part. I've been dealing with Jake from ARKRC and he's been awesome!

So I just received a new set of servo frames that were supposedly "inspected" and guess what? ...more of the same...

So, I am cutting my looses at this point. Keep an eye in the FS forums as I will be listing this kit in the next few days.

Cant you fix it? As a last resort you could use the tip of a small soldering iron in the metal insert and bent it straight when the plastic starts melting.

Perhaps using a long screw in there that you heat up might get a better result.

I don't use the plastic ones anymore but when I did I do remember them not being perfect but not as bad those ones.

Sorry you had such a rough time with your Heli. Honestly it flies awesome. Maybe give the company a call that sold you the "inspected" parts and see if they can make the situation right.

Best of luck.

Default Update!

I decided to pull this heli off the self and get it flying... Out of four sets of servo frames I was able to make two good ones using a M2 tap. Finished building and maiden a few days ago and I have to say, glad I did! It flys awesome and so quiet...loving this helicopter now.

From my point of view it is quite normal issue. I obtained this part in same state for more times! Some screw holes (whole aluminium part) were even in nearly 45° degree - absolutely unusable.

I'm also having issues with my build. These plastic BBs are a joke, period! Bottom block has molding issues and does not align with the servo blocks. Ordered the CNC alu parts since I've never dealt with plastic blocks. I also stripped one of the 2x6 screws when removing it to make the frame straight . Mind you, this is not my first build and I have never had any issues building other "inferior" helis.

I truly hope this heli flies as great as people say it does. That would be the only way to forget about my disappointment putting this heli together.

As God as my witness, you will completely forget about those nasty Bearing Blocks 15 seconds into your maiden.

WORD!

Assemble the frame properly then you won't have any problems. Don't tighten the screws, put main in shaft through bearing blocks, frame on a glass surface and then tighten the bolts.
On mine shaft falls through under its own weight. Heli is maintenance free, no need to upgrade to cnc parts.

Some of the bearing blocks are impossible to fix. Its fairly obvious whoever is making those inserts has started to use very brittle cheap alluminum and you can;t even clean em out with a tap. There is no way to build the heli "properly" unless you have a good set of bearing blocks. Why is it only the upper bearing blocks that have this issue and not the third bearing support? Or the Front Y bearing holder? THey use the same inserts and appear to be perfect, at least on my small sample set anyhow.

Frame has been assembled as you have described (but on a marble surface). As soon as I start tightening the screws, the bottom block gets misaligned. The problem is clearly visible, and twisting / straightening the frame makes no difference. The main shaft goes smoothly through the servo frames. I had to file one side of the bottom block to make it align with the other blocks. Some of the aluminum inserts feel cheap, too. HD's answer to my complaint: "Yep, that's MSH. Be glad you are not missing any parts." WTF? I'm still waiting a call back from Larry since the other guy was no help.
