Default Tired of stripped socket heads....

.....so I bought an MIP Thorp 1.5mm driver. Best investment I've made after burning through 3 different Wiha drivers.

They are worth every penny, just wish I would have got them sooner.

I also use Wihas and noticed slop on some screws. I thought the screws were not very good quality (stock screws from MSH), but is it the drivers?

Definitely the drivers. I can use the Thorp to remove some of the screws that the Wiha just spins in. The edges of the Thorp are sharp and very precise. I too wish I had got one sooner.

Not affiliated in any way, just promoting a well made product.

I am glad I got MIP drivers straight up from everyone's recommendations. In saying that my brand new 1.5mm MIP driver handle would just spin as soon as a screw got any slight tension. But I just called the place I bought them from, they sent me a replacement and no problems with any of them since. They worked perfectly through my whole Mini Protos build. No stripped screws at all I have undone a few of the tightest screws that have been loctited, including the very tight feathering shaft and they make it feel so easy

Yeah i have MIP .9 and 1.3mm drivers andtheyre awesome. For my bigger sizes i have a Dynamite set that fits super tight like the MIP and is made from the hardened tool steel as well. I havent stripped a head since i got them all. When my friends round out the heads on their rc trucks with their drivers i use my drivers to extract them.

A good set of drivers is worth its weight in gold IMO.

I've been MIP from the start, 1.5 - 4mm. What are these stripped bolts you speak of? Haha

^^^

What he said.

I just added a set of MIP Thorp tips with a ratchet handle from Power Hobbies on flea bay.

Power Hobbies is a great place to buy these drivers.

I bought the .9 and 1.3 for my trex 250 after I got sick of ruining the heads.
I then went and bought the entire set.
