Great job Kevin!

So how do you compensate for the phase angle? Or is it a non-problem? What is the weight of the Helimax 530 mm blades - and where do they balance along their length?

Its not a problem because the ball in the blade grip is already 90 degres to the swash....... The blades are stock non weighted and they are 530 mm with a 4mm bolt hole and each weigh 110 grams...

Thanks Speed stick 3D

In my experiemental Trex450 (no stabalization) flybarless flying in 3D, the key seems to be:
1) setting the phase angle correctly/ experimentally (not as simple as 90degree as there seems a phase shift in leading edge ball link)
2) a tight swashplate ball link
3) good centering CCPM servos

Still the flying character is not satifatory.

Seems I can try on my Gaui Hurricane EP550, which may turn out to be more stable than a 450.

Anything other than what's in the setup vid on getting a heli ready to fly FBL? I've got a rex 600 thinking of doing that to and it seems that All I need to do is remove parts and get the tx setup correctly.

How do you set phasing? is that a non issue?

Nice video. I figured out the same thing tonight before I saw it, but I found my antirotation pins are too short in some cases:

How did you solve that problem? As I recall I had to grind them down a couple millimeters when I built the kit two years ago because they hit the swash otherwise.

I believe what he is referring to are gyros on the collective and cyclic. There used to be mixers that did the work of the tx for eccpm...helitronix is what I'm thinking. You could do the ccpm mixing as well as add gyros to the aileron and elevator channels.
