Yes, you can put your heli's motor, gearing info.

You can download the Castle Link software from CC's site and can run it in demo mode and can see exactly what settings you can adjust the esc.

That only applies to running the Edge series Castle ESC on a vbar governor. It's a great setup, but I'm not sure that's what the OP is after.

acidla is correct, to run the Castle gov you can just plug the gearing info (tooth counts, motor size) into the CastleLink software and it will calculate the ratio. Then tell it which headspeeds you want. In order to know your gearing we would have to know which Logo. Plus we would have to assume a stock setup which may not be correct. Best bet if you don't know is to just count the teeth.

If you aren't going to run a governor then you don't need to tell the ESC about your gearing. ESC doesn't care about gearing if you're just running a throttle curve.

Assuming you got the motor combo then the motor you're asking about is the Scorpion HK-II 4015-1070. Details for that motor can be found here: http://www.scorpionsystem.com/catalo.../HK_4015_1070/

Specifically what you need for the CastleLink in order to set up the governor is the motor (magnet) pole count, which according to that page is 8 (eight) and/or the motor kV which is 1070.

As for the gearing, the combo pinion size is 23t, the main gear is 212t.

That's correct. The CastleLink software has input fields for those values, or you can input the gear ratio directly (needed for some models like the Goblin that have a two-stage drive.)

In case you were not aware, there is a dedicated Castle Creations sub-forum too.
https://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=261

You didn't mention what kind of FBL controller. One would think that doesn't matter, but actually just in case its a 7200BX, there is a recommended procedure, particularly as a pre-cursor to governor mode. This helped me a lot.
