Some numpty questions :-(

Hi, nearly got my total g set up but i seem to be avoiding the 1st hover :o , probbably due to not being sure about a few things, these are the subjects that confuse me below.
Auto trim?
Trim lock?
Piro comp? All on the special function fc set up.
Auto trim sw? On the general settings.
Governor what mode? and advanced in the gov menue what does it mean.
The rest of it i'm sure i have sussed appart from what kind of gain figure to run for the cyclics and the gyro, Would i be right in thinking my governor will turn off in normal flight mode below 40% on the curves? And one other issue i seem to have is upon saving my parameters it keeps missing certain settings, each time i save it misses different ones out .
I do realise this post is all over the place and probbably hard to understand but any answers to the above would be very very welcome .
