Default Anybody using the Aurora 9X??

Anybody move from the Aurora 9 to the Aurora 9X?
If so, how do you like it?

I've been debating about switching brand, but decided to stick with my A9 and maybe getting a 9X.

I have been flying for almost a year now. Also been testing the fbl rx for few weeks now. Working good here.

Hey Bubba... the FBL unit is a Maxima unit correct? And therefore no telemetry?

I would really be torn between using a FBL unit or using telemetry.
I really enjoy flying without a timer, just using the flight pack telemetry via the SPC port.
But I would like to be able to use the FBL units gov mode which requires the FBL type Rx.

yes it is a maxima rx so yes no telemetry. If you run a kosmik you can set up a mah capacity cut off were it drops your rpm. There was some talk about a telemetry s bus rx. You can still run the internal gov on the fbl unit even with a full size rx no issue there just on brain and vbar you would run your tail gain in the software instead of the tx.

Got two with issues. Send them both back. No hitec for me anymore. Too bad, because I did like it.

What issues did you have. I have been flying the a9x for over a year now and zero issues

Just received my 9X last week. Feels pretty good on the sim with simstick and just crossed over my Trex 250 3gx. Maybe it's placebo or I have something set differently but it feels snappier.

It would have been nice if I could have uploaded all of my models to the new radio. Maybe I'll give it a try but I read that they weren't compatible.

One odd thing I noticed when moving the models over is the battery sensor menu item isn't displayed when you're not actively connected to a heli.
It would be nice if I could set the battery limits without firing up each heli to set it. Minor annoyance because I preferred the way the 9 displayed the sensor menu option all the time.

Stock battery seems a little weak just messing around on the sim and setting up the two models I've charged it twice. Lipo's are working much better. I'm using the thunder power 2700 G8 which has the proper connecter. Just watch out it doesn't look keyed so I bet you could insert it backwards. Also made an adapter for my Turnigy 2200's which I used a keyed connector.

I've had 0 issues with my Aurora 9 over the past 3 years lets hope the 9x continues the great experience I've had with the 9. I'm still keeping the 9 just converting it to DSM2/DSMX and ditching my dx6i for my micro's.
