Default Jive + mini vbar + dx7 a weird problem

hi all,

i have been building a fbl protos, ran into a weird problem. i cant seem to get into programming mode or arm the jive. i can however do that with a r7000 receiver. i suspect it has something to do with the mini vbar not sending out correct 0 throttle to the esc. i tried to adjust the throttle subtrim and endpoints so that under receiver adjustment in vbar software it would show 0 throttle at mid stick, 100 and -100 at high and low sticks. i also tried normal and reversing the throttle in dx7. no dice. scratching my head here.

anyone has a simliar setup got their jive to arm?

thanks,

The Jive calibrate you throtle during setup process.

1) connect the receiver (mini V) to the Jive
2) set the throtle stick to the 0
3) plug the battery
4) wait for beeps
5) unplug the jumper on the Jive
6) wait fo the beeps
7) now it will be beepipng according to the MODE

one beep - MODE 1
two beeps - MODE 2
...
four beeps - MODE 4

When you hear four (4) beeps pull the throttle to the max

8) wait for the beeps
9) unplug the battery

This is the whole Jive setup and it also calibrates your throttle stick. Now it should work!

I have your setup except with a Jazz, and the above post was my experience as well.
Except come to think about it, I may have had throttle hold on (-5%) at step 2

But either way, it all worked fine.

.. actually that's why you should calibrate your JIVE via mini-V.

do you use subtrim and endpoints to get throttle channel on the rx adjustment window in the vbar software to 0 at mid stick, 100 at high stick and -100 at low stick first? when you say throttle at 0 you mean low stick right? i ll give it another go when i get back home tonight.
