Default 690sx2. What battery?

New 690sx2 coming

What is the best battery choice for 12s?

4400 or 5000 or other?

I use 12s 4000mAh 25C in my 600SE but the Gens Ace packs are 3+years old.

Newer packs are slightly smaller & lighter so 4400's are what I'd look at.

Some are running 5000's but that's probably a little on the heavy side for the 690.

To me it all come down to flight times

I am using 5000s with 6:20 flight time with 3d and big air at 2100 Head Speed.

No other electric bird gives me this type of flight time. I can increase the time by flying 2000 head speed

feels fat on 5000's to me, 4500's are pretty sweet. I personally use nanopuff 4500's which are more than plenty for this kitten.

I held out on the V1 because because I didn't want to invest in a whole new set of batteries. All my other 700's run on 14s and I didn't want to fit a Kosmik to this heli. Now I managed to get hold of a set of the new Rotortech 670mm blades so figured I will fly it with those and use the 6s 4000 packs from my Logo 600. Just waiting for the 690SX V2 to come back in stock in the UK. There seems to be short supply of Mikado stock in the UK. Hope it's just temporary

I use 35C Gens Ace 4400 on my v1. Balance perfectly, not the strongest of packs but this bird moves regardless. Very happy with them.

for the price difference , if possible I get a v1 , its like 175.00 more for the v2 , v2 frame kit is 110.00 , not a hard heli to put packs in (v1) ...
