Default Throttle signal recording

I am tired of my ET not recording the throttle signal correctly. From what I gather from an ET support email, the Throttle Calibration somehow does not carry over into the recording module. And so I end up with zero reading 40, and max throttle reading 182 (whereas my main dashboard will correctly show 0 and 200, respectively). Now, I had a look into Chart Settings and it seems tempting to select Series/Throttle, followed by Data Source and Function/y=f(x). I had expected that down there I might be able to write something along the lines of y=(x-40)/142*200. Alas, the dialogue allows nothing of the sort. There is no documentation for the charting engine. Does anyone happen to have worked out how this stuff is supposed to work? Thank you.
