Default Help with CP2 please

Okay, I've googled and searched this forum over and over and I give up.

Where is the word "auto trim" on the display? I'm using my pc, not the irnet receiver. But still, I've done the initial set up again and preferences and I don't see the word auto trim or a default value of 6 at all, anywhere.

Next question. Do I have to use flight modes? All I have is a DX6i. I can't select much since I have only 2 position switches.

What I want is this.I want Co pilot to be switched on when I use my gyro/flap switch. I've done the setup in the radio, and I've plugged the correct cables in. Do I have to make it and on/off switch in the ir display or is what I've done enough?

All I want is to be able to hit the gyro switch and have cp2 turned on. That's it.

Oh yeah, I fail to see any place to set my gyro from 27-35%. I've looked through and through but I don't see a place to do this setting. Is it "gyro output channel4?" Sorry for the stupidity, but I'm fed up with it at this point.

I looked that up today and I appreciate it.

It just doesn't tell me where in the CP2 menu to turn auto trim to 0. That's my biggest issue. Well, that and where do I set the gyro at in the menu as well. Thanks!

use your hand held IR net reciever, as i think that does not come up in the PC display
I cant use my pc for the set up (2.4) so I must use the hand held device

Hi:

Check out the PDF Flow chart at this link:

http://revolectrix.com/support_docs/item_1275.pdf

You need to answer yes to the Flight Mode Setup question. You can get to that block of questions either during a Quick Setup or from Preferences. It's the big block at the bottom of the flowchart. About half way down the block, you'll see "Auto Trim?" Use INC/DEC to set the degrees or turn it OFF.

Cool, I'll try that.

I don't have the irnet piece. Just the usb to laptop. I picked mine up off the board.

Hi:

It does not matter. The menus are identical between the IRNet programmer and the CPII Display Software.

Do you think you could squeeze the help texts into the IR programmer as well?

Hi:

I was about to ask if that was a joke until I saw the little guy rolling around laughing!

That's pretty funny!

Awesome. Flow chart did it. I had seen that before. I should have gone back to FMA's site for that. My apologies. Thank you for reminding me.

Now to find the gyro. I did see on here where people were reccomending 33 or so?

Am I setting the gyro % where it says "gyro output channel 4?"?

Thanks again.

Okay, I've got it at 27% and I'll test tomorrow. Thanks for the help everyone.

Tested my flap/gyro switch and it works as advertised, so the other tutorials were handy. Thanks!

Tim, you're scaring me
Thanks God I added the little rolling guy or you'd think I was serious. I'm pretty sure a doctor would prescribe to get hold of Howard and hop on the plane to Mexico for a quick de-stressing heli-flying product promotion trip . Between your schedule and mine it'll probably take more like few months to coordinate, but the door's wide open, seriously.

Quick test hover in bad winds today. Everything works. Need to adjust some flight angles a little, but other than that, it's good to go.

Thanks everyone.
