Default Any plans for Skookum UDI support?

Jeti receivers will soon support UDI, and was curious if Skookum might be supporting this digital protocol at some point. I understand that a few other FBL controllers support UDI, so I was curious.

Does that allow programming via the Tx? Because that would make my day....

Edit - ah it's just basically a digital version of PPM right? In the same way ppm is a (sort of) common standard, this is the digitised equivalent?

Apparently V-Bar and Ikon/Brain support it so far.

Hopefully BD and Skookum will jump on board too, although I would like to see how much better the signal is in real life.

well ppm is a bit archaic, and does start to fall down in regards to frame time when channels go up.

If there is a move towards a new digital equivalent standard it can only be a good thing.

I just read that JR's X-Bus is UDI, so it would seem that Skookum probably will want to support this.

I just hope that UDI is UDI is UDI !!!!!!!

Did anything change since? SK-720 docs still don't mention UDI, as of rev. 3.99.

[considering buying it, thinking aloud]

Two things I see so far:

- UDI is supported, but not documented
- Governor is present and is supposedly very good, but again, not documented

I wonder if I should draw a conclusion that documentation is, well, generally incomplete and it'll take a lot of time and effort to sift through the lore, or I just managed to hit the only two things that exist, but aren't documented?

Related, is German documentation more complete than English?
Update: Ahem, I should get more sleep. Canadian, not German

Most of the documentation that you need to set up your heli is contained in the setup software itself. There are 4 "wizards" (including a throttle/governor setup wizard) that guide you through the gyro setup, step by step. Skookum has also produced several youtube videos that help explain the setup.

Where people run into trouble is when they don't follow the wizards and try to wing it. Follow the wizard and you'll have no trouble.
