As for pinions any make just need to be 0.5 mod 3.17mm shaft for Scorpion motors using stock main gear. Of course if your using the Lynx slant gear then you will need the Lynx slant pinions ;-)

I have been looking around at places for getting the smaller 2208-24 and there are not many or ones that I have never heard guys buying from. Any suggestions?

You probably found this out already but you can rotate the motor mount and in one of the 2 orientations it does fit.

That being said, the hyperion motors seem cheaper, that would be my recommendation
