Default Maiden my 690 Logo :)

Sorry for the crappy picture but its the only one I took. Bought it as the combo so its got the 370kv scorp. Align 700 series HV servos, Brain, HW 130HV, 5000 45C 12S.

First of all let me say it was WINDY. I mean nasty windy so it really caught me off guard when I experienced the first gust and it lifted and dropped 4 times more than protos would have which is darn near 3 full lbs heavier than this bird.

So how did it go, loved it !! Reminded me of a less powerful Banshee on Next Sim. Seems like it is happy to move rapidly in all of its axis at any given time without much elevation loss or gained. I guess thats the whole light disc load thing. Very fun !!

The best part was the flight time. OMG - 11 degrees pitch , 1975 rpms, 7 mins, land at 20 percent on the meter I would run more pitch and rpms but the manual makes a point of saying not exceeding those numbers, actually 2000 rpms.

Not exactly powerful but very fun ! I look forward to many more. If anyone has any tips for setup with Brain I'm all ears. I got no complaints, flies sweet, just if anyone has any suggestions.

Yeah it is a fun machine. I went even lighter and I'm running it on cheap 4000mah stick packs. I'm getting 5min at 2000rpm.

About the only thing I didn't like was getting the servos in to the frame I didn't cut my frame to make them fit I took the servo case halves apart and installed and reassembled the servos.

Oh I also put a little red sticker on the battery locking post so that it disappears when it's locked. I can't believe how many times I forgot to lock the tray and flew it Just not used to locking the pin since all of my other heli's automatically lock.

3 more flights last night rushing to the field after cutting my grass after work.

Oh mannnnnn Its sooooooooo quiet. I never had a machine like this.

It was calm skies and it was very fun to fly yesterday, VERY FUN !

I can confirm. 7 min flight, 1975 rpm, 11 degrees pitch, 5000 mah pack, 10.15 lb heli, not exactly a powerhouse but who cares !!

I am not used to the light disc load thing at all this is all new. I make simple banked turns and I gain 60 feet of altitude now lol. The previous birds never did that I guess this is efficiency yes ?

Hate to say I told you so but.....

On the disk loading, as I mentioned to ya I got some SAB Thunder Bolt 650's to give a try. Should be smack in the middle between 600a and 690.
I'll post how I like when I get in the air.

I see the vids of logos on youtube 690's and they're moving man. Is 2000 rpms headspeed and 11 degrees collective really the limit or can you go above it ?

People go higher. Is 2000 the limit haha I run mine at 2100 and 11.5°
you just risk striping the main gear. No biggy really the thing autos forever so you can still get it down safely if you strip one.

I may actually add another 1° to get some more pop around center.

Ohhhhhh ok. That's it a main gear strip risk ? I can handle that. I thought it was a boom strike risk or something more catastrophic. like I'm not exaggerating I get 7 mins at 1975 rpms and 11 pitch range. I'm good with 7 mins but I don't mind going to 5 and getting power

2100 and 11.5 would be plenty to satisfy me

Yeah just the maingear load that I'm aware of. I'm at 4:40-5min running at 2100 with 11.5 but I'm also running 4000mah stick packs I love the lighter and cheaper packs and 5 min is plenty for me.
I was buddyboxing at 1900 and was well over 7min so if I want more time it's easy to achieve even with 4000's

I can't get the main shaft out, and I can't get the head off the main shaft. The head is loosened and bolt is out but its jammed on it won't budge. And I can't move the shaft up or down.

I have to split the frames from a crash of about a 10 foot fall ? The urban legend is turning true for me at my field I heard. Pure joy to fly equal hell to work on and crash.

Did you open the washout arm screws? those clamp the hub onto the shaft.

I got it - just had to be patient and really pull and twist. Main shaft, feathering shaft, skids, main blades, tail blades, tail blade grips, the pin under the tail pulley, the main shaft bearing at the top, and uhhhh thats about it for critical stuff the rest is repairable.
