Default settings. Lowered gyro sens to 63; raised to 80; no diff. Made the mod today; tried with default and Leon's settings; no diff.
I like the heli; just wish I could get rid of the wag.
Using JR9303; Spetrum AR7000 rcvr; stock heli. Align FB 520 blades (not fbl); Tail rotor blades balanced and loose in grips. Main rotors balanced; cg correct.
Looking for any suggestions. Planning to get KDE tail rotor upgrade if I can find one.
Don't make buy a V-bar!
Thanks.

Hi Pat.

As HiroboFreak has said sounds like you need to lower the rudder heading lock gain down from the default 70% to 40-50%.
Out of the box the 3G comes set to 70% on this setting which doesn't suit a lot of servos, indeed all my models I have had to go down to just under 50% to cure the slow wag.

I do have some settings I use on my 550 posted somewhere which I have tweeks and work well for others also, later on I will look for them and link in here when I am on a proper pc not my phone.

Also, have you tried playing with the ESC govenor gain if you're using govenor mode? Some of us 700E guys have found the govenor to be causing the slow wag as well. I know on my 700LE 3G it all came down to curing vibrations though.

Hirobo/Coolice -
That was it! Reduced rudder lock gain to 45; no more wag! Hover tested in back yard.
Tail appears to be locked.
Thank you very much!
Nem - thanks, not using Gov mode in this esc; I believe the esc is in default settings.
This forum is great for finding answers. I appreciate all of your help.

Hi Pat.

Great news mate, now you can enjoy the model.

You're very welcome. If you get anymore questions just ask.

Have fun.

As I said above, mine is working OK on the Tre500, but want to make it better,

could I use the settings mentioned by Leon in the first post safely, or are they specifically for the 700?

Other question is, once I put those settings on the 3G system, would I have to do the DIR setup again or no??

Thanks

Yes you can run LL settings. I'm running them in a 500, 600, and 700. Yes you'll have to run the setup over again.

Hey.

If you've already setup the 3G to your model and set limits, directions etc. then flashing LL's settings will not require you to go back into DIR mode and start again.

The idea is that you go into DIR only once during initial setup and then you can mess about with the 3G settings via the PC software between flights if need to be fine tune as required.

That is what I had thought, but still wanted to double check, thanks for clarifying that.

This is a huge thread with lots of info - can someone tell me what Leon's settings should be in the 3G system without me having to read through over 50 pages? Thanks.

I got the 4010 at Office Max

I used poster putty in my sensor instead of silicone.

The E6000 seems to be the popular choice around here.

Question, I have the latest 500 ESP 3G 500MX sitting in the box, should it need any mods to the system being the latest edition?
