$510 for a painted fuselage is still a steal. A TDV fuselage (unpainted?) is $775 when available. Even a "mass-production" Goblin Speed canopy is $138.

I would like the canopy makers to produce a full aerodynamic fuselage as an option to make speed trials more available. With the tailboom trends; it might just happen.

Actually, the S's fuse is not painted. It has a colored gel coat, and at €495, that's roughly $660. The TDV is unpainted but it's also carbon fiber. With decals applied, it's more like $840. They are different animals, just like the two helis themselves.

Is it CF?? I never knew.

How do they deal with the rx being inside the fuse?

I have taken the 2 antenna's of the Futaba S bus receiver to the outside with the 2 tubes as forseen with the original kit.

Obviously a GPS inside the fuse doesn't work

I just spoke with Paul who has one and he said that he too pokes out the top like Jan does in the TDR manual or something.

Also when they mount the canopy its magnetic!

I like that idea

Great,

Many thanks,

In the meantime I have changed from Scorpion to Pyro Comp 750 - 560; next week I plan to try this new set up.

I agree but I have a load of 6mm bullets here and the plan is to change them

But I have to say like you, never had issues with EC5's but 6mm's will just be that much better.

I put the castle connectors on the ESC to Battery harness connection. Very nice connectors.
I have also decided to replace the Kosmik esc to battery wires and connectors and the battery harness every 8-12 months as a precaution. The wires can wear and break, as I have experienced, as well as a bad solder joint.

Wow, that was fast. Sorry to hear that. I had a momentary pause, just for a moment!
Hope you are back enjoying flying with regularity soon.
