Weather better today and had 5 flights.
Practiced my piroflips more and getting better at keeping them level.
Did my first hurricaines today. Learned to control collective, as tail will blow in full collective hurricaines.
So a good week for my Diabolo, first piroflips and hurricaines.

Oh........ the HC3-SX paid for its self today. Could have been a nasty crash.

Default What did you do with your diabolo today?

Flew 4 packs back to back(finally).
Got the tail locked in and started pushing harder.
I was a bit surprised by the temps (degrees Celsius):
Ambient - 30
Pyro 700 - 80
Kosmik 200 - 80
Packs - 50

Head speed 1950(75%), radix 710, rail 106, 13/13 pitch, aggressive sport flying.

I thought the kosmik would be running the pyro 700 easily, but it was well hot.
What will the temps be when I put on the pyro 800 comp motor?

What pinion? I have never seen my Pyro 700 or YGE 120 over 60C... I do have a NACA duct in the canopy though

20T, stock canopy(few cracks, lol).
I was planning 2100 hs, but will need to drop to 24T tail, gets angry with anything over 2000, as Gerd said.

I believe I have the 18 tooth, I prefer a little less overhead and lower temps out here!

Still need to install the data logger and get some good logs on the pyro before putting my powerdekker 750MX in

Just wanted to reiterate that I am really enjoying this bird. It's a blast from 1k-2k rpm.

You might be fine, but have this in mind if anything arises.
Here is my modified wiring to allow a little more vibration isolation.

Flew today. Lovely day here. Put the P800 back in.
One of my TP packs came down puffed!! One of the cells has lost voltage. IR of 3 in the other cells and 6 in the affected cell. What to do? It has had 70 cycles on it only. Supposed to get 200+.
I have put it on the charger to discharge and charge 2 cycles. Hope it will recover. Is it worth using? Does the TP warranty apply to things like this? I always look after my lipos and try to keep above 20% and storage charge after use.

TP has a 2 year warranty, as long as pack isn't damaged they should warranty it. Not acceptable considering costs. I had a dead cell on a new one that they replaced. Had to go directly through TP and not the retailer. I hope they take care of the for you.

+1. They replaced a "swollen" battery for me no questions asked. They have an rma form on their website. You will have to provide your invoice as proof of when you purchased it.

OK thanks guys. I'll look into it, found the RMA. May ask Fast Lad first and see what they say.

Looks great!! Custom painted? And is that real carbon or a carbon fibre decal?

Thanks!

Canopy is all decals that Minicopter offers. Black/Red stripe decals (D143), and carbon "look" windshield (D145).
