You adjust the linkages first and get as close as possible with that.
The last adjustment is done via software (FBL mid point setup).

Reason: You have to do at least a half turn, usually a full turn, on the linkage which is way to coarse to get level.

Hint: If you have turnbuckle linkages you just do it with the linkages => mechanically perfect setup

Trying to setup my raptor 90, downloaded the app and purchased virtual main shaft. Where is the selection for a 4 point swash, or is there one? All that's there it's 3 point and reversed. Any help?

Hi,

What exactly do you mean with 4 point swash? As far as I can see here the Raptor 90 has a standard TT swash...
If its an older version: Is it a flybar one?

If you have a heli like the Velos 880 with 4 cyclic servos - this is not supported by the app at the moment.

Soko

PS: If thats your only heli please PM me, we will figure something out for sure

It's an older flybar that has been converted. 3 servo 4 point swash. 1 for collective, 1 ale, 1 ele. I can figure it out and get it to work. Just wondering if there was a selection that I was missing in the software.

Thats a typical Raptor head which does not use ECCPM mixing in the radio and instead uses mechanical mixing with an additional pitch servo.

Some of their more modern helis still use mechanical mixing

OK, I've been a bit of a naysayer and Luvmyhelis has told me repeatedly that the Soko unit has a more accurate higher quality digital level in it.

My RCLogger digital level is now all over the place and won't hold a value repeatedly within 0.3 degrees if that. It used to do better than that, but it is no longer reliable.

I pulled out my Soko level and it is still holding a solid value and I can move it around repeatedly and set it back down on a zero'd surface and it returns to 0.0 every time.

So maybe I just got lucky and my RCLogger did better than most for a while, but it definitely is fluctuating around too much for me to use it without a lot of frustration now.

Default Soko Tool Screen Failing After <6 Uses... :-(

Hey guys...let me first start off by saying that I purchased my Soko tool quite a while back to support a (then) newer company trying to break into the heli tool market (I like to support the smaller guys), but I've taken a number of hiatuses in the period since I purchased the tool (I had a baby, major flood at my house, among other things - it was a rough year).

I've since used my Soko tool less than 6 times total, and the screen has started to go out on me. I've tried replacing the battery, thinking that might be it, but that didn't help at all. I try to guess what the numbers are, or just use the constant figures on the top, but that method is getting quite frustrating. I guess being an early(ish) adopter doesn't always pay off. For all intents and purposes, my Soko tool is in like-new condition, but obviously not from a functionality standpoint.

Has anyone else experienced this problem??

Please chime in if you have, and here's to hoping there's an easy fix. I'm SUPER bummed because I did like this tool better than my RCLogger tool, but for the price I would expect more. If I don't get much feedback here, I'll post in the general forum, but I figured I'd start here since we are the biggest Soko supporters. Thanks guys.

Just a few examples of the types of readings (or lack thereof) I'm getting:

Shane, possibly it is just a ribbon connector not seated properly.

I took yours and Sokos advice and decided to open it up...and you guys were exactly right, it WAS the ribbon cable. Except, it was a problem that was bound to rear its ugly head, and is definitely a manufacturing defect. Looks like someone had an off day with their soldering iron at the factory.

And to add insult to injury, I'm guessing the fact that it hadn't been opened up before was limping it along, and now it doesn't work at all (gobbledy gook on the screen).

Check it out:

Im sorry to hear that!
We test each Soko Gauge before it leaves us but its impossible to find 100% of the (goingvto be) faulty ones.

But no worries man.

We gonna send you a warranty replacement right away. Look at your PM for details.

.

Looking for the Virtual mainshaft app in the apple app store and can't find it.

Is it now included in the free app?

or am I just too simple minded to find it?

It's an in-app purchase. Download the free one, and you'll be able to upgrade from within the Soko Heli Toolbox app. I hope this helps. Cheers.
