Align TRex 700 E DFC HV without 3GX

It seems that Align will officially bring out a FBL combo set without 3G/3GX controller included. The 700E DFC HV Combo RH70E04XW.

They also included the high strength black main gear.

But they did not add the new tail rotor shaft. Thus did not eliminiate the 'T-Rex 700 DFC tail issue'.

I can see in the pictures that the gear in the tail box is still white (the new one is black).

Only the main gear is black (stronger). Not the small ones that drive the tail.

Is this "DFC Tail Issue" that big of an issue? I am looking at getting this new kit. When does this issue happen? I am looking at running a lower HS, around 1900-2000. I would imagine this happens on a really high HS where there is more strain on the tail gears.

When you order the kit order the $20 part or ask the store to include it, (several stores will include AlignTrexStore.com, said they were others were offering at cost, etc) to be safe...

I have never bought from AlignTrexStore.com. Has anyone here? They have a great price on the 700 DFC combo with batts. I am just a little reluctant to try it out, and on the other hand, I dont know of a single person who flies the Align Batteries. Are they just rebranded TP?

I think probably one of the best prices is from Kirk at www.performanceplusrc.com, I have bought many kits from him and he seems to always match or beat pricing. I just checked on a 700E DFC HV without 3GX from www.performanceplusrc.com and it is $1,297.99, after you sign in and go to checkout... The AlignTrexStore.com is great also, they always seem to have the new parts/kits before anyone else.

I just got my 700 dfc combo with batts from aligntrexstore.com. Was 1210 shipped without 3gx and they sent the upgraded tail shaft ahead of the kit. Been great to work with.

Well, plus I accidentally got them to send a 4th metal servo horn even though there should only have been 3. My bad...
