Default AirTime landing gear

Those of you using the AirTime land gear are you trimming the tabs off the batteries and then sliding the battery through the rear saddle all the way into the forward saddle? The original landing gear has the battery stopping just under the main gear, Does sliding the battery all the way forward against the front battery saddle cause any unbalance issues? I ordered a set and I thought I would cut the bottom bar off the rear saddle eliminating having to push it through the rear saddle and eliminating removing the tabs on the batteries.

How many of you NANO CPX Fliers have installed the AirTime landing gear and do you like them?

Thanks guys.

I put them on my nano after breaking the stock ones. I trim the batteries as the directions state and slide it All the way forward and it works great. They are very tough. They do go into the frame holes though awful hard ( mine did anyway) I like them, much better then stock.

Default Air Time skids

I recently put Air Times onto 3 nanos and 4 mcpxs. All dbl bl babies. I love them. Haven't come close to breaking one yet. I was spending way too much money - REGURLARLY -on the horrible stock Blade nano skids.

Now if I can just find lightweight canopies that are as cheap to operate. Maybe I'll try paper canopies... anyone have a nano paper canopy?

BTW
Weight distribution is perfect for my dbl bl nanos with lipo pushed all the way forward.

I would recommend removing the tabs from the battery. If you cut the bottom bar from the rear it will become weak and want to spread apart. The CG is good with the battery slid to the front.

Airtime skids are awesome. I spent enough on stock skids to buy a new heli before I discovered them.

I really like the xtreme nano canopies. Super durable. You have to trim a bit of plastic for the servo arms to clear.
