Default how to connect and bind a new receiver?

Hi,
I need to change the 3-in-1 unit of my coaxial heli and I have a few questions, please:
1) all I have to do is to disconnect the wires from the old unit and connect it to the new one?
2) how about the 1st bind? how to make the new receiver recognize my radio signal? the heli manual doesn't provide any instructions.
Thanks a lot.

Which heli and Tx are they? The binding procedure can be different for different manufactures.

With the Esky 2.4 Rx, you have to clear the previous binding before you can get it to bind again.

To be safe, disconnect the motor wires from the 4 in 1.

Be sure the Tx is turned off and the Rx battery is disconnected.

Now connect the battery to the 4 in 1. With the battery connected, press and hold the binding reset button on the end of the 4 in 1.

The button is very small, but you will see it when you look at the end of the 4 in 1.

After holding in the reset button for a second or two, the binding indicator LED will begin to blink.

When the binding indicator LED begins blinking, it means that the 4 in 1 is ready to accept new binding info.

Disconnect the battery from the 4 in 1.

Wait a couple of seconds, then plug the battery into the 4 in 1.

The binding indicator LED will start blinking at a slower rate than in the previous step.

When the binding indicator LED is blinking slowly, the Rx is scanning for new binding info from the Tx.

Turn on the Tx.

The binding indicator LED will begin blinking rapidly and will then go to a steady on.

When the binding indicator LED is steady on, the new binding is complete.

It should only take a few seconds for the binding indicator LED to go to a steady on after turning on the Tx.

Be sure and follow this procedure exactly. If you miss a step the binding attempt will fail.

If the binding indicator LED does not go to a steady on, or if it turns off, the binding procedure failed, and you need to do the entire process over again.

In my experience, if the binding doesn't work in the first couple of tries (following this procedure) then there is a problem with the Tx or the Rx.

Let us know how you're doing or if you need more help.

Hi Jack,
I wouldn't have done it without your help.
Your explanation on how to connect the motors to the receiver is also awesome. I had connected the wires in an inverted order and only because of that post I was able to realize my mistake.
Regards.
