Default Suggestions for a 425 FBL

Hi everybody!
I am currently flying a 450 Sport, but I want something bigger in the 500 class. There are two guys out at my field that have the 425's and I really like how they fly. The next build will be FBL, probably going with the Beast X. Can anybody offer suggestions for the other components? Can I use the basic 425 kit? Do I need upgraded metal blade or tail grips? What head do you recommend?

Thanks for the suggestions.

i seen a gaui 425 a fbl super combo at the hobby store the other day

im using the cf frame, but i used a basic kit to outfit my frame, like gears, landing gear
then i sold the rest.

i never used to plastic frame, but alot of people say its tuff and do all kinds of flying with it,

now that i think about it, at the hobby store i got to,,
the tech there has a basic kit, with the 504 motor, a quark gyro, and does mild 3d on it, he is running the basic kit , no upgrades
i always see them helping people with there builds, and they usually have there 425's there so you can see them.
where do you fly at? if you want to see my 425 , im in tempe, nut i fly in mesa
go to national hobbys,

Thanks for the reply. National Hobbies is just around the corner from where I fly, at Chandler Bowl. I know those guys are pretty knowledgable.

I'm was also considering the new Trex 500E, which is also a plastic kit but comes as a complete combo for $425. I am really interested in going flybarless, but might push the final price up quite a bit from a basic build. I may just start out with a basic kit, then upgrade later as my skills increase. Or, I could just bite the bullet now and buy a complete kit with everything I need, including all the upgrades.

Hi,
I am thinking to make build my 425 basic kit as FBL

How is the FES 2Blade Rotor Head : ref 204681 quality? And the X4 head?

because I know that people prefer the new GAUI head for hurri 200(compared to old one). Is it the same for the bigger FES head? Seems X4 head has a integrated swashplate lock

Price is quite close 99 dollars for old one compared to 107dollars for X4 head (bought as parts)
