Default 4G3 V2 now available!!

The 4G3 V2 has just been released, available here:
http://www.chinesejade.com/walkera.htm

No doubt other suppliers will get it in shortly!

V1 owners can also buy the V2 kit for a discounted price!

Also, the current metal 'upgrade' version you will see is made from reportedly very poor quality non-Walkera parts, which is why it's so cheap, ball links are fixed with glue and fall off, blade holders not straight, swash doesn't move up and down shaft properly are some of the reports I've heard about those metal bits, for anyone who is willing to pay $50 for it, the soon to be released Walkera metal upgrade kit is bound to be a lot better.

That would be one way of putting it, I haven't seen the parts myself, so can only go on the reports of others, if you go and have a look at rcgroups forum you'll see for yourself.
For example, the last post on this page: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...49467&page=130

Not sure, those are the official Walkera metal parts though
Whether it's V1 or V2, the answer is supposed to be posted here:

In fact I don't know if they are, although they look similar, apparently the official Walkera metal parts have not been released yet

I'm quite confused... there seems to many places offering the new second generation of Airy's metal upgrade. This site seems to have the most info about it... http://www.helipal.com/airy-2nd-gene...t-for-4g3.html

Walkera's "official" metal upgrade looks the same... http://shop-en.walkera.com/cn/product.jsp?id=10114

I don't know if Airy is a knock-off, or if they are the supplier to Walkera... very very confusing.

helihathnofury... I would be very wary of buying that off fleabay... I would stick to a "reputable" and trusted store.

I agree, but how do you know that that product is not the same, they could be importing them from HK or China and flogging them on? It's confusing!!!!!

Yep.... that's the problem... imagine you buy it and find out it is cheap knock-off... all the guys at work will laugh at you... "hey look over there, is that Helihath with his imitation parts? He is so uncool!"

LOL............But at that price, it surely cannot be any worse than the plastic head...The Airy head set and carbon blades look to be a good upgrade though........

I agree... they do look like good quality... I wish Airy had a website and/or others knew of them to lend credence to their reputation.

Seems there must be a lot of these aftermarket/pirate/copy parts about, I would be very wary about any that seem cheap - quality will probably be as you would expect for the price

I have a 4G3 V2 coming from wowhobbies. In their picture and every other picture that I've seen of the V2, they show the metal head both on the helicopter and they show all the seperate pieces in the same picture. The swashplate on the heli has a plastic inner swash plate. In the very same picture the individual swashplate is shown with a metal inner swash plate?

So I wonder which way it is? Has anyone seen one for real?

From what I gather, the "official" Walkera Metal Upgrade features the metal/plastic combination swashplate and has the plastic links that the flybar passes through. They really should have named it something different as it is really is not an "all metal" upgrade.

Usually walkera adds a letter to a new version 4#3A 4#3B.. You would think if the metal version was coming out it would be 4g3B.

Looks like the Transmitter will be a more important upgrade than the metal bits..

Goodby PIT and PLT knobs - no love loss there I'm afraid...
