I prefer low expo settings as well, giving it fast response with flips and rolls. But I just couldn't help but notice most of my flying suffers from it. Especially since I flew with aggressive settings for a month or two and came back from it. I've seen V-Bar settings from a couple of well known international contest pilots, even they don't even have extreme settings at all. Quite mellow actually :).

Ditched all XT-60 connectors and replaced them with EC3 connectors.

4 packs, mainly inverted tail in then nose in. I have had the nose in inverted working for a long time but only now getting tail in working.

Activated Governor Store (finally) on YGE. I should have done it before - my Mini Protos was awesome before, now it even better!

Also, over the weekend I did some tweaking of Mini V-Bar, based on kjoer's instructions - this helped my Mini Protos to fly again much better as I had finally chance to fly it one battery (before major rain kicked in).
Thank You kjoer!
I did changes segment at a time, since my Mini Protos in not stretched. Today was first flight with some adjustments.
Changed following:
- Main rotor otherwise to same, but dropped paddle simu to 20% (was 35%)
- Tail rotor P & I Gain still left alone
- rest of tail rotor setup I did identical to kjoer

Now it is just matter of time to have better weather to test fly MiniProtos better adn add some more changes.

Today, I opened up the servo packages and took out the horns. Going to cut them today. As well as putter about with the junk on my workbench and make space. Can't do too much else. Waiting on transmitter / receiver.. batteries. An now carbon frame sides ... Sigh. Too windy to fly today for me anyways.. The bin at the field has numerous blades sticking out of it but noone was there.

Ok, was doing rainbows, the belt snapped mid arc (about 15m) and the heli dropped straight down.
Changed the belt and tried again (belt was really consumed).

This time I was flying with earphones, felt the power fading but thought I could bring the heli back inverted: wrong I didn't realize I was in idle2 with no reserve, 10m high. Again, half of the path back, the heli dropped down straight.

Changed the broken screw holding the head and tried again.

Third one was a good one.

Bad day but great Mini, just one belt and one screw!

This weekend at SRC I flew the mini under construction lights. Gave wrong input and skid bumped at high speed, TH'ed, over corrected. It went straight up 25 feet and fell. I checked the servos and tail, put it back on the line, and finished the battery!

You must have done that after I left! Wish I'd seen that one.
I only put a couple of packs through my Mini P at SRC, I was having too much fun with the 300X.

Big Fail today.

Have setup my other YGE esc without blades and with. Decided to do my stretch mini which I have just completed.

Had and error first go with the esc beeping afterwards and refusing to work till I found out how to reset it.

Frustrated by now I decided to give it a final go but didn't take all the care I should have.

Spooled up and somewhere close to 90% the pitch was obviously a bit off and the vbar started compensatory movements tipping the heli but it was too late. I hit hold but the blade tips got smashed on the dumbbell supporting the blades through the skids.

Blades gone. Tail fin broken. Tail blade ruined from impact on tail fin. My second such incident.

Now it has a slight vibrational or stuttering spool up between 20-30% at a guess. Could be a normal thing. Without blades it gets smooth upwards of 50%.

I swear I was on the verge of saying that's it for this hobby.

Fixed it up with spares from my non stretch. Will order new bits.

I wonder if the vbar was the culprit. I've done it with the brain and helicommand with no problems like this. Anyway. Will just put it down to inexperience.

Did some maintenance check up on my MiniProtos and found 4 bad bearings.
Both tailbladegrip bearings on only one grip were totally shot.
Above tailbox located belt guide pulley bearings were also shot.
Changed those bearings and now the tail holds real well on every situation.

So you gave up on the 6s motor and went 4s. Look forward to seeing it on the weekend Tim.

I have both motors but having trouble sourcing 6s packs to use. Jake said that the TP were a special order and most likely wont be ordered again.

Thats the opposite of what Radar told me, yes special order but would be ordered again. I guess we can beat him up on the weekend.

Jake told me last week that Aidan wanted the batteries for his originally so they ordered extras to make a decent order. He didnt think they would be ordering any more. He told me to contact MF or TP to order them. I will ask Radar on the weekend.

I doesn't look like you are in USA, but helidirect has the 6S pulse 1350's in stock. The product photo is wrong, but you can trust the dimensions in the specifications.
