For 12S setup YEP 120A HV or another 120A HV regulator.

Go with a castle 160hv then you won't outgrow it and you can use it in any big bird

Good alternative if cost is not an issue.

I just built the new 700 Pro DFC and it came with the castle Ice2 120HV.
I have only done test hovers and some pitch pumps with it so I can't say much about it yet. I'm totally stoked for this heli and it has amazing power so far.

If I could have paid a few dollars more and upgraded to the 160 I would have.

Good idea. If you're just a sport flier (flips, rolls, inverted, FFF, pumps, etc), the 120 is fine. If you can find a 160 on sale, consider it if you consider upgrading the motor. Depending on your motor (my 700 came with a 700MX), this would define your need as well. I upgraded to an 800MX and my 120 temps went to 150 which is still well below the max of 210F. If you decide to sell the 120, you might want to consider selling it new in the box as the price you will get will be higher than used. Personally, I would keep the 120.

Default 120 amp Castle Creations

I will keep de 120A.
I'm a sport flier so, I did my first inverted flight last week
so I think that the 120 is just perfect

How many amps do you pull with your 800mx?

Speaking of ESC. I'm in the process of building my first T-rex 700 DFC HV. I would like to put the Castle Creations 160 HVF (fan unit) My question is with the fan attached to the ESC. Will it fit in the nose of the helicopter?

To be honest it's not needed. Which motor are you using? If the 800MX than you won't need it.

That's good to know. I have the 800MX thinking about upgrading to the 850MX in the future... Seems like a lot of hassles dealing with the fan and wires....
