Oh this dam'n hobby. I have been thinking of getting another helicopter and like the 500 size. After owning the Protos for just under a year and liking the no gear contact idea I have been looking at an HD pretty hard. I have also been slowly collecting some spare parts for the Protos for when I have a mishap. This is where the problem has started. I picked up another never flown protos with motor, esc and a bunch of spare parts. So now there won't be any different birds in my portfolio any time soon.

Now I have to decide if I want to do a ready fly or leave it for spares.

I have access to a bunch of good paint and have someone that is pretty good at painting. I am thinking another protos with custom canopy.
